About Unvisible Landscapes Lampa

Production Technology
Fractal generation through Mandelbulb 3d software. 3d processing was made by applying displacement maps to surfaces in 3d modeling software. Physical objects were printed on a 3d printer with te use of PLA filament and then equipped with LED strips for lighting.
Design Challenge
This design is a part of the project 'Unvisible Spaces' with the aim to visualize and sonify 'unvisible' phenomena that take place in nature and introduce them to the field of art and design.
Research
Fractals generated by mutation of formulas and navigation in Mandelbulb 3d software. Then rendered and transposed into video, digital prints and 3d prints.
Inspiration
Objective mathematical notions must be thought as timeless entities and are not to be regarded as being conjured into existence at the moment that they are first humanly perceived.
