About Chifuyu Meza ya Kati ya Sebule
Chifuyu ni meza fupi ya kati iliyoundwa kwa ajili ya vyumba vya kuishi. Umbo lake lilipata msukumo kutoka kwa taswira ya vipande viwili vya ngozi vilivyoning'inia hewani. Kipande kimoja cha ngozi kilichojipinda huunda uso wa meza na kuleta hisia ya kuelea. Chuma chenye matundu huhimili mpindo huo na kuwezesha uundaji tata wa umbo la pande tatu. Meza hii ina upana wa milimita 950, kina cha milimita 950 na urefu wa milimita 280. Mwonekano wake mwepesi na wa kuning'inia unakusudiwa kuongeza mguso wa kipekee katika mapambo ya ndani ya kila siku.

- The curving single piece of leather creates a sense of floating.
This center table is almost gravity-beflying.

- Production Technology
- The shaping of the tertiary surface proved extremely difficult. It was achieved by employing perforated metal.
- Design Challenge
- Expressing the shape of a cubic surface and realising it while utilising the skills of engineers proved extremely difficult. Through repeated discussions, we continued to seek the correct solution until completion.
- Inspiration
- While pondering how to create a new table, an image came to mind of two pieces of leather suspended in mid-air.
I contemplated how to realise this vision, and arrived at this form. - Project Duration
- The project started in Apr. 2020 in Tokyo and finished in Jan. 2021 in Tokyo, and was exhibited in Salone del Mobile in June 2022.
