About Green Companion Mkoba wa Mgongoni

Green Companion ni mkoba wa mgongoni ulioundwa kwa ajili ya usafiri wa mijini na safari fupi. Sehemu kuu ya mwili imetengenezwa kwa karatasi ya DuPont yenye msingi wa polyethylene ya msongamano wa juu, ambayo ni nyepesi, inayozuia maji na isiyochanika kwa urahisi. Vifaa vya ziada vinatumia metali zinazoweza kurejeshwa na plastiki za polima moja, na misimbo ya nyenzo imechapishwa kwa kubonyezwa katika maeneo muhimu ili kusaidia upangaji. Michoro imewekwa kwa uchapishaji wa moja kwa moja usio na tabaka la plastiki kwa kutumia wino wenye msingi wa maji au wenye uzalishaji mdogo wa hewa chafu, hivyo mkoba unabaki kuwa unaoweza kurejeshwa. Unique Properties: The backpack achieves full recyclability using recyclable materials and green processes. The 500 g main body is made from high density polyethylene based DuPont paper, offering water resistance, tear resistance, and light weight. Accessories are made from recyclable metals and single polymer plastics, with material codes embossed in key areas to improve sorting efficiency. Green printing and inks passed abrasion, wiping, and tape peel tests, ensuring beauty, durability, and manufacturability.

Production Technology: The main body is made of high density polyethylene based DuPont paper that is tear resistant, water repellent, and compatible with existing plastic recycling systems. Accessories use recyclable metals and single polymer plastics to reduce interference caused by mixed materials and adhesives, with material codes embossed in key areas to facilitate sorting. Graphics use nonlaminated direct printing with water based or low VOC inks, reducing emissions and maintaining recyclability.
Design Challenge: The key challenge was to achieve recyclability, durability, and manufacturability. DuPont paper, with its interlaced fiber structure, provides exceptional tear, puncture, and water resistance, perfect for commuting and outdoor scenarios. For durable graphics, nonlaminated direct printing with a low VOC ink system was adopted and rigorously tested for abrasion, wiping, tape peel, and daily cleaning to guarantee a unified appearance, consistent quality in mass production, and recyclability.
Research: Many recyclable bags prioritize materials over user experience, durability, and manufacturability. This backpack achieves full recyclability through its choice of materials, printing methods, and the uses of codes. The use of single polymer components simplifies sorting, nonlaminated direct printing reduces recycling interference, and embossed material codes boost sorting accuracy. Zoned compartments and two level capacity expansion enhance efficiency, ensuring sustainability and practicality.
Inspiration: Inspired by deconstructivist aesthetics, circles, lines, and other geometric elements are deconstructed and recombined to create a open composition. A gradient of blue, green, and yellow brings freshness, a touch of tech, and fashion edge, making it ideal for urban commuting and outdoor scenarios. The directional flow of the composition echoes material circulation. The white M on the top flap shows brand identity. Satellite inspired orbit motifs imply a connected, recyclable, closed loop system.
Project Duration: Designed and developed in Shanghai in May 2025, the product started mass production in China in August 2025.
Operation Flow: Zoned compartments are designed for daily commuting and short trips. The main compartment and padded laptop compartment protect valuable items, multifunctional dividers help sort out smaller items, and a rear zippered pocket ensures privacy and quick retrieval. Adjustable copper side buckles support two level capacity expansion, keeping the structure stable and the shape balanced even when fully loaded. The backpack distributes weight evenly, reducing fatigue during extended carrying.
