Production Technology

Using the artificial grass rug allows us to reduce the production cost. We can change the rug and its’ color easily on the FRP Lounger.
There are two sizes of dots on the Rug; the big dots are for positioning a side table, the small dots are for positioning a floor lamp.

Design Challenge

I had little difficulty in developing this Rug Lounger because I had a clear image for it.

Research

The purpose of this Rug Lounger is to create the smallest possible relaxing living space.

Inspiration

I got inspiration for my Rug Lounger when I saw the Rug and the Lounger in the living room separately.

Project Duration

2013 JAPAN

Operation Flow

I was excited to think about how the fusion of the Rug and the Longer would create a new concept.
