The design team used one of the characters in X5 Charity Foundation, the letter "X", to present the meaning and shape of "multiply". The space uses large amounts of lightning techniques combined with metal fabrics, all with a unique 60-degree angle. The “X” shaped metal extends from the front outdoor area to the indoor space, and also from the first-floor ceiling and folds into a staircase, and leads visitors to the basement area.
The metals cut through the warm wood and combine the steadiness of stone materials. The “X” shaped metal combines different spaces and builds up the function of the X5 Charity Foundation.
The most challenging part the team faced is that the space is planned to be a complex space to meet diverse needs. To make each space unique but not apart from one another is one of the challenges the team faces. However, the team uses lots of techniques to show the transparency of the area and the matching of different materials.
