About Parachute ชั้นวางติดผนัง
Parachute คือชั้นวางติดผนังที่ทำจากแผ่นโลหะ เมื่อมีการใช้งานส่วนใดส่วนหนึ่ง แผ่นระนาบของส่วนนั้นจะพับลงมาและห้อยค้างอยู่ในตำแหน่ง แผ่นที่ห้อยลงมานี้ใช้แขวนเสื้อโค้ท นิตยสาร หรือสิ่งของอื่นๆ ในลักษณะเดียวกัน และช่วยป้องกันไม่ให้สิ่งของเหล่านั้นตกหล่น พื้นผิวของชั้นวางมีแถบสีคั่นด้วยช่องว่างบางๆ ทำให้ชั้นวางนี้ชวนให้นึกถึงภาพลักษณ์เชิงกราฟิกของร่มชูชีพสมัยใหม่ และยังสามารถมองเป็นงานศิลปะติดผนังได้อีกด้วย Parachute มีความกว้าง 790 มม. ความลึก 30 มม. และความสูง 220 มม. ชื่อของผลงานนี้ผสานแนวคิดของการปกป้องและการร่วงหล่นเข้าไว้ด้วยกัน

With the colored stripes separated by thin spaces, the graphic design is reminiscent of a modern parachute; this theme is transformed, in a recognisable and aesthetically successful manner, into an original shelf design. - Design Challenge
- Yusuke Watanabe designed a new type of wall shelf, looks like Wall Art.
Yusuke Watanabe was worried about color of gradation, Through trial and error we found best ways. looks like Wall Art. - Inspiration
- When listening to Coldplay's first album, it suddenly occurred to me to look up the word "Parachute."
It seems that the name "parachute" comes combining the Italian "parare" (to protect) with the French "chute" (to fall).
I thought that was a rather fine name.
I tried to think of devices that protect against falling.
When in use, the plank for the section being used falls, and hangs there.

- The project started in April 2017 in Tokyo and finished in October 2018 in Tokyo, and Yusuke Watanabe was exhibited in Salone del Mobile in April 2018.
