About The Once Collection Upuan

Ang Once Collection ay isang saklaw ng upuan na kinabibilangan ng isang silya at isang barstool. Bawat upuan ay ginawa mula sa dalawang anyo ng laser-cut na metal na pinagdikit sa pamamagitan ng welding. Ang metal ay bumubuo ng iisang gitnang binti na muling nahahati tungo sa mga suporta para sa mga unan. Tatlong punto ng pakikipag-ugnayan sa sahig ang nagbibigay ng katatagan. Ang mga unan ay gawa sa foam na nakapatong sa isang base na kahoy at binalot ng balat ng baka (cowhide) na tinahi ayon sa sukat. Ang mga backrest ay konektado sa pamamagitan ng hinge, kaya ang mga backrest ay umaangkop sa taong nakaupo. May dalawang bersyon na inaalok, isa sa Corten steel at isa namang pininturahan ng itim.

Ang The Once Collection Upuan ay nagwagi ng A' Design Award na Bakal, isang prestihiyosong pagkilalang iginagawad sa mga mahuhusay na disenyong tumutugon sa mga propesyonal at pang-industriyang kinakailangang inaasahan sa mga mahusay na pagkakadisenyong likha. Ang mga nagwagi ng Bakal ay nagpapakita ng dakilang husay, mataas na espesyalisasyon, dalubhasang pag-unawa at kakayahang malikhain ng kanilang mga lumikha. Inaasahang ang The Once Collection Upuan ay isang lubos na pinahahalagahan, hinahangaan at minamahal na likhang praktikal at makabago. Ang disenyong ito na nagwagi ng A' Design Award na Bakal ay nagsasama ng pinakamahuhusay na kasanayan ng industriya at may mahuhusay na katangiang teknikal na may kasamang kaalaman at talento. Unique Properties: At Dasein Products, they are always looking for an unique approach without compromising in functionality or comfort. In this case a chair and a barstool. These seats are made of a laser-cut metal construction and with cowhide upholstered foam cushions.

The metals form a strong single legged chair but split again to become supports for the cushions.

The seating cushion is directly fixed on the metal. The backrests are connected by a hinge so that they can adapt to the seated person.

Production Technology: The chairs are made of 2 forms of laser-cut metal that are welded together. There is the Corten steel version and the black version that needs painting after the welding.

The cushions are made of foam on wooden base. They are covered with cowhide that was first sewn to size.
Design Challenge: It is not that easy to generate an elegant yet comfortable chair that looks different from the rest. It’s production needs good machinery but mostly specialized craftsmanship.
Research: A stool has to be stable. Hence the 3 contact points with the floor. It is important that the ones at the rear are far enough to the back to prevent flipping.

Secondly it needs to be strong and not heavy. By using plate metal that was cut and welded in a well thought out manner, Dasein Products was able to reduce the number of legs. You will also see that there are no weak corners but that direction change is made through rounded angles.

For comfort, there are no hard and inflexible contact with the seated.
Inspiration: Design should be functional. It is limited by laws of nature. The challenge was to create an unique (bar)stool by exploring materials and production methods.

A chair needs to be strong, stable, light and comfortable. A good design combines all this with a unique look.
Project Duration: A similar design was made by the designer as a student when he was assigned to create an ode to Japanese product designer Tohiyuki Kita. It refers to his Wink chair and his Kick table. The designer picked the idea up again and early 2020 and reshaped the homage according his current ideas.
Operation Flow: This is some comfortable sitting. The bicycle seat changes the position of the legs which relieves the spine and back muscles. And the back itself is extra supported by the hinged supports.
