About Supersymmetry Ilaw

Ang Supersymmetry ay isang natatransporma na ilaw na dinisenyo para sa mga tahanan na ginagamit din bilang mga espasyong pantrabaho. Nagbabago ang aparato mula sa isang patayong pinagmumulan ng malambot at kumakalat na liwanag tungo sa isang pahalang na pinagmumulan ng nakatuong liwanag para sa trabaho, paglikha, at malapitang pag-uusap. Nagagawa ang pagbabago sa pamamagitan ng paghahati o pagsasama ng mga simetrikal na bahagi ng ilaw, na hawak ng mga magnetikong panghawak. Isang sistemang pang-alalay na kawad na nasa gitna ng ilalim ang nagpapanatiling matatag ang taas sa parehong posisyon, kaya't pantay-pantay ang antas ng liwanag sa mesa. Ginagamit ang metal, akriliko, at mga pinagmumulang LED. Ang kabuuang taas ay mula 550 hanggang 1500 mm.

Ang Supersymmetry Ilaw ay nagwagi ng A' Design Award na Pilak, isang pambihirang prestihiyosong pagkilalang iginagawad sa mga disenyong nasa pinakamataas na antas, nakabibighani at kahanga-hanga. Ang mga nagwagi ng Pilak ay mga likhang lubhang makinang at napakamalikhain na naglalarawan sa pambihirang kadalubhasaan, talento at talas ng isip ng kanilang mga tagapagdisenyo. Inaasahang ang Supersymmetry Ilaw ay isang kahanga-hangang likhang huwaran na kapansin-pansing propesyonal at malalim na makabago. Unique Properties: The fixture is designed in a very specific unique way, which allows to transform it from a general vertical source of soft diffused light to the specific horizontal source of concentrated functional light for work, creation, and close communication. Thoroughly engineered construction with magnetic elements and bottom-centered wire bracing system enables to provide stable height level of the fixture for both horizontal and vertical configurations. It helps to keep the lamp close to the table and maintain an equal illumination level on the table surface along with a comfortable face and body backlight.
Dimensions & Packaging: The total height for any modification is from 550 to 1500 mm.

Design Challenge: The key designing challenge was developing the solution for stable height level of the lamp through several configurations, (comparing to classic solution which would lead to height fluctuation of at
least 450 mm), which provided the most efficient ergonomics and created no obstacles and limitations for light flow on working surface.
Research: The main goal of the research is creating fine-drawn appliance design for living space zoning and transformation solutions for different pastime scenarios in the pandemic and post-pandemic world.
Inspiration: The year 2020 brought us through incredible transformations that affected our social and personal spheres of lives. People had to reinvent their lifestyles, habits, approaches to work and recreational space. The two most significant fields of professional and private appeared at the edge of brutal collision within the most casual homes and apartments. The pursuit of a humane and profound solution for this problem leads us to find inspiration in one of the most elegant concepts of modern partial physics – supersymmetry. It explains a conjectured relationship between two basic classes of elementary particles by showing how they can bound together into superpartners, evolve into each other, and split backward to their cores. As substance can transform into matter, our most tender and intimate living spaces can be transformed into perfect working areas by a glimpse of light. This idea led us to design a smart classy lighting fixture that can help people to switch between their life essences by the simple move and magnetic click. As supersymmetry itself, the sustainability of the home-centered life approach needs to be proved experimentally in a post-pandemic world. We see our mission in developing lighting solutions that can guide people through it.
Project Duration: Project development took place in Moscow and started in August 2020. Mass production market release is planned for November 2021.
Operation Flow: Lighting fixture transformation is operated by a simple user’s move of splitting or joining together symmetrical parts of the lamp in order to reach the required illumination effect. The kinetic effect provided by construction and enchased by magnetic elements provides deep tactile emotional rebound and experience the sense of interaction with high-end technology. It helps to expand the perception of the lamp as an interior complement to the image of a solid hi-tech object.
