Dahil sa inspirasyon ng mga pampulitikang kaganapan na yumanig sa 2016, ang seryeng ito ay nagmamasid sa hindi pagkakatugma sa pagitan ng aming persepsyon at katotohanan sa edad ng social media at mga feed ng balita. Ang layunin ay tanungin kung paano ang ating materyalidad ay maaaring masira ng ating mga opinyon at paghuhusga, gamit ang mga umiiral na agos ng "Nausea" ni Jean Paul Sartre.

Ang Epic Fail Ang Photographic Series ay nagwagi ng A' Design Award na Pilak, isang pambihirang prestihiyosong pagkilalang iginagawad sa mga disenyong nasa pinakamataas na antas, nakabibighani at kahanga-hanga. Ang mga nagwagi ng Pilak ay mga likhang lubhang makinang at napakamalikhain na naglalarawan sa pambihirang kadalubhasaan, talento at talas ng isip ng kanilang mga tagapagdisenyo. Inaasahang ang Epic Fail Ang Photographic Series ay isang kahanga-hangang likhang huwaran na kapansin-pansing propesyonal at malalim na makabago. Ang disenyong ito na nagwagi ng A' Design Award na Pilak ay isang lubhang kapansin-pansin at hinahangaang imbensyon na nakikinabang at nagpapaunlad sa mga hangganan ng sining, agham, disenyo at teknolohiya. Mga Natatanging Katangian: Inspired by the political events that shook 2016, this series observes the dissonance between our perception and reality in the age of social media and catered news feeds.

The aim was to question how our materiality can be warped by our opinions and judgements, using the existential currents of Jean Paul Sartre’s “Nausea”.

Teknolohiya sa Produksyon: wood, printed lycra, 3d printed plaster, high density foam, plexiglass.

With only slight retouching, all the effects were created in-camera using a mix of gravity defying rigs, 3d prints, and optical illusions that were tested and created in my workshop for 1 month.
Hamon sa Disenyo: The challenge was finding ways to create multiple physical systems that could create a warped reality to be photographed. The upside down set with the computer screen spraying emoji's took two weeks of rebuilding until we could safely ask our model to lay down in it.
Inspirasyon: This project was born out of the shock election result of Brexit and Trump. The certitude I was harbouring of both votes not being possible, accompanied by their reality, had a ripple effect on how I perceived mine, inspiring me to create a series of physical moments that become warped by our judgment.

I wanted these moments to feel surreal but look palpable, so researching ways of shooting this series without doing any CGI was crucial.
