About Wonderland in the Alleyways Primary Function: Disenyo ng Interior ng Lobby ng Tirahan

Wonderland in the Alleyways ay ang disenyo ng interior ng isang lobby ng tirahan sa Taoyuan, Taiwan. Ang 274 metro kuwadradong espasyo ay hango sa atmospera ng isang French cafe. Ang malumanay at masayahing mga kulay ay pinagsama sa mga ceramic tile at mga detalyeng metal. Ang kahoy, bato, salamin, seramika at tela ay nagbabalanse ng matatalim at malalambot na ibabaw. Ang isang vaulted na kisameng salamin sa hallway ay nagpapasok ng natural na liwanag at umaakit sa mata pataas, na nagpapaliit sa epekto ng mababang kisame. Unique Properties: This case is an innovative design of the resident lobby inspired by the vibe of the French cafe. Instead of following the common way to open up the spatial perception through materials, the designer creates a much playful and cozy space with the vibrancy of a coffee shop. The use of colors is rather mild but cheerful while decorated with the vividness of ceramic tiles and the luster of metals.

Production Technology: As it is like strolling around alleys, the wooden window shutters around the coffee shop give a different experience to the residents and guests. Thus, layers are built up one after another when entering each area. The ingenious idea is therefore a great example of how interior design can brighten up daily life by turning a normal lobby into a visual feast.274

Research: The use of colors is rather mild but cheerful while decorated with the vividness of ceramic tiles and luster of metals. Materials such as wood, stones, glass, ceramic and fabric are used to balance the feeling of sharpness and softness.
Inspiration: While entering the lobby, the vaulted glass ceiling in the hallway not only introduces natural light but also expands the visual space. It draws eyes upward and makes the room much airier and spacious, solving the problem of a low ceiling. In addition, the use of windows and glasses make it visually spacious. The brightness of natural light and white walls contributes to a comfortable perception.
