About The Notion Mesa de Sala

Ang Notion ay isang mesa de sala na inspirasyon ng mga abstract na anyo ng kaisipan. Ang ibabaw ng mesa ay gawa sa marmol, at ang mga binti ay binuo mula sa mga hindi pantay na bilog na hugis na inipon patayo upang bumuo ng mga haligi. Ang mga bilog na hugis na ito ay inanyuan gamit ang eskultural na kahusayan at binigyan ng makinang at makulay na lacquer finish. Ang hindi pantay na ibabaw ay nagpapaalala sa mga bula sa kumukulong tubig at nagpapasalamin ng liwanag sa nagbabagong mga alon mula sa bawat anggulo ng pagtanaw. Ang mesa de sala ay may taas na 75 cm at diyametro na 105 cm. Ang bilog at balanseng hugis nito ay nagpapahintulot sa piyesa na manatiling mababa sa isang silid habang gumagana ito bilang isang obra ng sining sa loob ng espasyo.

Unique Properties: The Notion is inspired by abstract thought forms, and the irregular spheres are stacked into columns. Interpreting the rational design concept through the cold stone, this design conveys a warm touch via the colorful glossy lacquer material, expressing the primitive state of the senses. The colored spheres in the middle symbolize the perception and difference of things, expressing the strong style of artist Reding Ho.
Dimensions & Packaging: This coffee table is 75 cm in height and 105 cm in diameter. The coffee table legs are stacked in an irregular ball shape. The concave and convex glossy lacquer surface reflects and accommodates the texture and temperature of light.

Production Technology: The table top is marble and the legs of the column are lacquered in glossy finish with sculptural craftsmanship and painted finish. The irregular surface of the sphere resembles a bubble of boiling water, creating a sense of visual flow under the refraction of light.
Design Challenge: After numerous discussions and abstract transformations, the biggest challenge was how to turn the abstract thoughts and feelings into reality. After several times of refinement and revision, and calculation of the weight supported structure, this work was completed.
Research: Studying the ideas of French post modernist philosopher Gilles Deleuze at the intersection of philosophy and art, he explores his diverse structuralism and metaphysics, intervening perception and logic in aesthetics, constructing and designing each work from the nature of things.
Inspiration: Thinking is the result of a rencontre, a chance and almost violent encounter, the French philosopher Gilles Deleuze once said. Thinking is like a thick, boiling soup, a chemical reaction between inner substances and outer feelings, floating on the boiling surface in semi liquefied bubbles that appear before our eyes as fluid forms and colors that collide, split, disintegrate, burst, and multiply.
Project Duration: This coffee table is finished and designed in Taiwan.
Operation Flow: The main visual focus is on the irregular glossy spheres, which reflect different ripples from different light sources no matter what angle you look at. The round and balanced shape of the side table can fully integrate with the surrounding space, and the low profile but eye catching appearance becomes the artwork in the space.
