About The Ray Brooch

Ang Ray ay isang brooch na inspirasyon ng sinag ng araw na sumisilip sa mga ulap sa isang maulap na araw. Ang batayang kulay ng brooch ay madilim, dahil ang piyesa ay gumagamit ng metal na binalot ng black rhodium at isang black diamond. Ang matingkad na mga hiyas ay pinagsama sa madilim na batayan upang bigyang-liwanag ang buong piyesa. Ang mga perlas ay nagbibigay ng malambot na ningning, habang ang mga diamante ay nagdaragdag ng kislap katabi ng madilim na metal. Ang brooch ay binuo bilang isang three-dimensional digital model. Ang Ray ay sumusukat ng 50 by 30 by 17 milimetro.

Unique Properties: The base color of the brooch is dark since it's using black rhodium plated metal and a black diamond, but mixing with a bright gemstones brightens up the entire piece.

Production Technology: The brooch was created in 3D model. The body for the baguette diamonds and the
Design Challenge: The most challenging part of this piece was transforming the dark image into bright object, still containing the dark element.
Research: My research began first by observing the cloudy day and capture the moment of the ray that comes out from the cloud. After I understood the shape and movement of the light, I then researched how to incorporate and design a piece that is fine, and balanced. I researched everything using online resources.
Inspiration: The inspiration of the brooch comes from the ray of sunlight appearing through the clouds on a cloudy day. The luster of the pearls gives and extra soft glow and the sparkle of the diamonds stands out like a ray of sunlight next to dark metal and black diamonds.
Project Duration: The project was designed and completed in June 2022 in Milan, Italy
