About Twiny Multifunctional na Sofa

Ang Twiny ay isang multifunctional na sofa na idinisenyo para sa mga bata sa mga tahanan, preschool, at daycare center. Ang sofa ay mukhang isang masayang upuan at nagtatago ng isang adjustable na mesa na may imbakan. Ang paghihiwalay ng dalawang yunit ng sofa ay naglalantad sa nakatagong mesa. Ang pag-ikot sa itaas na bahagi ng mesa ay nagpapabago sa taas nito at nagbubukas sa compartment ng imbakan. Ang mga modular na piyesa ay maaaring ayusin sa iba't ibang layout para sa paglalaro, pag-aaral, at pagpapahinga. Ang upholstery ay gawa sa recycled na polyester. Ang mesa ay gawa sa reclaimed na wood chips at recycled na plastik.

While it first appears as a playful sofa, it ingeniously conceals an adjustable table with storage, revealed by separating the sofa units. This modular approach supports activities such as playing, studying, relaxing, with eco-friendly materials, child-focused functionality

Production Technology: Twiny sofa is crafted using eco-conscious materials to ensure sustainability and comfort. The upholstery is made from 100% recycled polyester, providing a soft, durable surface that emphasizes environmental responsibility. The adjustable table is constructed from a sustainable composite, combining reclaimed wood chips and recycled plastic, which highlights its eco-friendly design.
Design Challenge: The creative challenge involved integrating versatile features, such as hidden table and storage, without compromising user experience and aesthetics. Balancing functionality with a playful design for children was essential, as well as ensuring safety and ease of use.
Research: The research aimed to develop multifunctional, space-saving children's furniture that promotes versatility, safety, and sustainability. Using a mixed-methods approach, data was collected through interviews and home observations. The findings underscored the need for adaptable, safe, and easy to maintain furniture with integrated storage. Insights emphasized the value of multifunctional furniture in fostering creativity and independence. This research culminated in the creation of Twiny furniture, a versatile, modular design that maintains organized and clutter-free spaces.
Inspiration: Twiny multifunctional sofa was inspired by the increasing need for adaptable furniture in small living spaces, particularly for families with children. Observing how limited space can restrict children's ability to explore and engage in creative play, I aimed to design a piece that not only maximizes space but also encourages independence and imagination. My motivation stemmed from the desire to create a functional, safe, and easy to maintain solution that meets the needs of modern families.
Project Duration: The Project started in Cologne in May 2024 and was completed in Cologne in August 2024.
Operation Flow: Twiny multifunctional furniture is designed for easy interaction and transformation, making it perfect for children. To reveal the hidden table, simply separate the two sofa units. By turning the top part of the table, children can adjust its height and access the storage compartment. The modular pieces can be reconfigured into different layouts to suit various activities, fostering creativity and independence.
