About Artloom Mobile Application

Ang ArtLoom ay isang mobile application na nag-uugnay sa mga umuusbong na alagad ng sining sa mga kolektor ng sining. Kadalasang nahihirapan ang mga bagong artista sa pagbebenta ng kanilang mga obra, samantalang ang mga bagong kolektor naman ay madalas na hindi alam kung saan magsisimula. Ang ArtLoom ay hango sa inspirasyon mula sa mga social media at dating applications. Nagba-browse ang mga kolektor ng mga likhang-sining sa isang makatotohanang virtual gallery at tumatanggap sila ng araw-araw na seleksyon batay sa kanilang mga gawi sa pag-browse. Ipinapakita naman sa mga profile ng artista ang kuwento sa likod ng bawat obra. Isang artificial intelligence chat assistant ang sumusuporta sa komunikasyon sa pagitan ng mga artista at kolektor. Ang ArtLoom ay idinisenyo para sa mga iOS device.

Unique Properties: ArtLoom is a mobile app that connects aspiring artists with collectors, making art discovery and connection effortless. Selling art can feel intimidating for emerging artists, while many new collectors struggle to know where to start.

Inspired by social media and dating apps, ArtLoom creates a seamless experience for both. Collectors can browse and discover artwork just like scrolling through their feed, while artists finally have a dedicated platform to showcase their work.

Design Challenge: How can we design a dedicated, user-friendly platform that facilitates seamless connections between emerging artists and casual collectors?

Key research questions:

- What are the biggest barriers preventing emerging artists from selling their work?
- What motivates casual collectors to purchase art, and what challenges do they face?
- How do existing platforms fall short in serving these groups?
- What features would make an art marketplace more accessible and engaging for both artists and collectors?

This research aims to uncover insights that can shape a solution tailored to the needs of emerging artists and casual collectors, fostering a more inclusive and vibrant art market.
Research: Utilized digital survey services to analyze data on the challenges and needs of emerging artists and art collectors. Findings highlighted key challenges, including connecting with collectors, understanding pricing strategies, and effectively communicating their art to a broader audience.
Inspiration: Aspiring artists struggle to find buyers, while art lovers want to support them but face challenges in connecting.

Most platforms cater to established artists and collectors, leaving emerging artists to navigate the crowded space of social media like Instagram.
