- Picaboo is an ergonomic dining system co-developed with occupational therapists to master toddlers' self-feeding. Its tilted bowl design aligns with a natural scooping trajectory, minimizing mealtime frustration. The set features a detachable suction base for stability across surfaces and adapts as the child grows. Made from food-grade materials, it combines safety with a functional aesthetic to promote independence and correct posture.

- The primary challenge was balancing the organic "bird-shaped" ergonomic handle with mass production constraints. Maintaining the fluid, seamless curve required complex mold designs to ensure a single-piece construction with no dead corners for hygiene and easy cleaning. We navigated the limitations of food-grade plastics, ensuring structural integrity while meeting strict safety standards. The result successfully integrates therapeutic expertise into a safe, manufacturable, and intuitive tool for toddlers.

Using behavioral observation and ergonomic testing, we found traditional utensils hinder developing motor skills. This innovation boosts child confidence and independence, offering a significant impact on early childhood development and design.

- The project started in January 2020 in Taipei and was officially completed in December 2022 in Taipei, Taiwan. Following its successful development and launch, the design was prominently exhibited at the Kind + Jugend (K+J) 2025, the leading international trade fair for baby and toddler equipment in Cologne, Germany. The research and prototyping phases were conducted locally in Taiwan to ensure the highest standards of ergonomic safety and functional excellence.
