About Froggie میز کا لیمپ

فروگی ایک میز کا لیمپ ہے جو خشکی اور پانی کے درمیان جل تھلیوں (ایمفیبیئنز) کی دوہری زندگی سے متاثر ہو کر تخلیق کیا گیا ہے۔ یہ ڈیزائن اُس لمحے کو گرفت میں لیتا ہے جب مینڈک پانی کی سطح سے اوپر اُبھرتا ہے۔ فروگی کی آنکھیں روشنی کے دو منابع کا کام کرتی ہیں، جبکہ پانی کے اوپر نظر آنے والا جسم اس کی بنیاد بناتا ہے۔ دونوں آنکھیں لچکدار ہیں، چنانچہ آنکھوں کی شکلوں کو مختلف زاویوں پر ترتیب دے کر روشنی کے متنوع اثرات پیدا کیے جا سکتے ہیں۔ ہر نتھنے میں ایک ٹچ سینسر بٹن نصب ہے، جس سے ہر روشنی کو الگ الگ آن اور آف کیا جا سکتا ہے۔ فروگی بایومیمکری (فطرت کی نقل) کو ایک بامزاح اور دلچسپ ڈیزائن کے سرچشمے کے طور پر دریافت کرتا ہے۔

Unique Properties: Froggie is a desk lamp project that inspires playful creativity. It captures the very moment when a frog rises above water. The eyes are represented as lighting sources, and the exposed body above water as a base.

Production Technology: Froggie's eyes are made to be bendable. Each nostril is equipped with a touch sensor button where users can turn on and off each light.
Design Challenge: The most challenging part was to figure out proper representations for each design element, for example, how big its eyes should be proportional to the body, and how much its body should be shown, compared to the rest of its submerged part.
Research: Froggie is to explore biomimicry in design. It attempts to translate "double life" of Amphibians into lighting design language.
Inspiration: Froggie was inspired by "double life" of amphibians between land and water. Frogs have the permeable skin, which allows them to breathe through the skin in water. They also breathe through the nostrils above the water surface or on land.
Project Duration: The project began in January 2021 and finished in January 2021 in Banff, Canada.
Operation Flow: Users are able to manipulate its eye shapes by adjusting their positions, which could render various lighting effects.
