مینشن آف ڈان (Mansion of Dawn) تائیوان کے شہر تائی پے میں ایک ڈوپلیکس اپارٹمنٹ کے لیے تیار کیا گیا رہائشی داخلی ڈیزائن ہے۔ منصوبے کو مٹیالے (ارتھ ٹون) رنگوں میں ترتیب دیا گیا ہے، جو جگہ کو سادہ اور پُروقار رکھتے ہیں۔ ایک کھلی سیڑھی گھر کو دو حصوں میں تقسیم کرتی ہے، جس میں نچلی منزل پر عوامی جگہیں اور بالائی منزل پر نجی کمرے واقع ہیں۔ داخلی دروازے سے اندرونی حصے تک جانے والی دیوار فیئر فیسڈ کنکریٹ بورڈز سے بنائی گئی ہے، جس میں ہاتھ سے تیار کردہ ٹائٹینیم چڑھی ہوئی دھاتیں غیر ہموار (اسٹیگرڈ) لکیروں میں پیوست کی گئی ہیں۔ سیڑھیوں کے نیچے ایک مطالعہ گاہ بنائی گئی ہے۔ بالکونی میں لچکدار استعمال کے لیے سمٹنے والے پردے لگائے گئے ہیں۔ بچوں کے دونوں کمرے حجم میں یکساں ہیں۔

Unique Properties: The designer has planned the space in earth tone colors which has made the space simple and elegant. Using the same color to build the place and the method of combining different materials together, space has manifested a sense of multi-layers from the entrance. As to the balcony, the designer has established it with retractable curtains and left a flexible space for the client to use. The designer has also chosen the building materials for the private domain carefully so as to create a space that meets the clients living standards.
Dimensions & Packaging: The designer has specially arranged a huge space for storage and matched it with the outdoor balcony extending from the living room, showing the flexible efficacy of the space. As to the private area, the materials have been chosen in low-profile and adopting in the masters building a sense of transparency and harmony. The designer has reorganized the children's room into the same size which fulfills not only the balance of the configuration but also the client's expectations.

Production Technology: The designer has manufactured the wall from the entrance to the interior with fair-faced concrete boards which are embedded with hand-made titanium-plated metals and with the lines in staggered order, creating an elegant ambiance to space. The extension of different materials in the same tone from the living room to the dining room has made the overall space share the same atmosphere. Moreover, the resistant and continuous floor has established a vigorous vibe with delicate construction.
Design Challenge: The designer has cleverly left a space for the study under the stairs which is an area for the children to practice cello. However, the stairs are designed in an open style and light linear are inserted between the narrow space which has enhanced the function of illumination and entertainment for the visual perception. Thus, the construction of the light linear and the stands had to be deployed simultaneously and considered the characteristics of distinct materials in order to set upstairs off both safety and aesthetics.
Research: With the adequate embellishment of the line shapes, metal ceiling lamp, and thick wood makings, through the fusion of the sunlight, space has created a sense of multilayers and the method of combining different materials together, space has manifested a sense of multi-layers from the entrance. The balcony has established with retractable curtains and left a flexible space for the client to use. The building is a duplex apartment with two floors. By the setting of the open stairs, the designer has divided the house into two spaces so that the upper is the private domain and the lower is the public domain.
Inspiration: The designer has combined the clients preferences and the features of the house together, including making the public area an open space, configuring the flow line fluently, and also carefully choosing the texture of the colors which has established an outstanding and elegant sense. Moreover, with the adequate embellishment of the line shapes, metal ceiling lamp, and thick wood makings, through the fusion of the sunlight, space has created a sense of multilayers and also become an ideal residence for the family members.
Project Duration: The project was completed in April 2020 in Taipei City, Taiwan.
Operation Flow: The connection between the living room and the study has been managed in an open style and the designer has used different materials to distinguish each areas function so that people can feel the sense of multilayers when staying in it. As to the private domain, the designer has planned it with a fresh and customized style and divided it into the same size. Nevertheless, the space configuration to the quality of living is all well assessed.
