About Homa انگوٹھی، ہار

ہوما ایک دوہرے مقصد والی انگوٹھی ہے جسے ہار کے طور پر بھی پہنا جا سکتا ہے۔ یہ نگ 18 قیراط سونے سے تیار کیا گیا ہے اور اس میں مصنوعی نیلا یاقوت جڑا گیا ہے۔ اندرونی حلقہ لچکدار ہے، چنانچہ انگوٹھی کو پہننے والے کی انگلی کے ناپ کے مطابق ایڈجسٹ کیا جا سکتا ہے۔ ریل گاڑی کے پہیوں سے متاثر ایک ریل میکانزم انگوٹھی کو ہار میں تبدیل کرنے کی سہولت دیتا ہے۔ نگ کے نیچے موجود ایک سادہ لاک، انگلی میں انگوٹھی پہننے کے دوران اس کی ہیئت کو اپنی جگہ قائم رکھتا ہے۔ یہ ڈیزائن پہننے والے کو افعال کے انتخاب اور شے کے ساتھ بلاواسطہ تعامل کا موقع فراہم کرتا ہے۔ ہوما کا نام فارسی ادب میں مسرت و اقبال کے پرندے کی جانب اشارہ کرتا ہے۔

Unique Properties: This dual purpose piece changes from a ring to a necklace. It gives its user the option of choosing the function. Due to the fact that the user per se is involved with the piece, a more desirably optimized feeling will be generated within her. Since the inner ring is elastic, it can be adjusted based on the size of user’s finger. A rail mechanism, based on train wheels, is devised to turn the ring to a necklace. A simple lock has been utilized beneath the piece to be fixed.
Dimensions & Packaging: Dimensions is 33 mm x 36 mm x 33 mm. weight is 21.780 gram. Using inner elastic ring to be adjusted based on the size of user’s finger. Using rail mechanism to be changeable from the ring to a necklace.

Production Technology: The material that was used in Homa ring is 18K gold as well as synthetic and atomic blue ruby.
Design Challenge: The hardest part of design of this artwork was to design this piece to be a practical dual-purpose artwork. Choosing a rail mechanism, based on train wheels, to turn the ring to a necklace was a creative part of design. Moreover, making the changeable and moveable part of ring just by hand, not by special machine, was too difficult.
Research: The Homa has a special role in Persian Miniature and Mythology used as a symbol of beauty and grace, in current design.
This piece is designed to be a practical dual purpose artwork, changing from a ring to a necklace. Since the inner ring is elastic, it can be adjusted based on the size of user’s finger. A rail mechanism, based on train wheels, is devised to turn the ring to a necklace.
Inspiration: Linguistically speaking, the word Homa consists of two Avestan words, Hu and Maya. In Avestan language, Hu means The Creator, and Maya means the Prime Material of Everything. Thus, the name Homa means the Creator of the Universe. Homa has quite a significant status in Persian literature. In the works of many poets, Homa is the Bird of Bliss and Felicity. In Persian literature, it is the symbol of splendor and magnificence and the sign of a good omen.
Project Duration: The project started in July 2019 in Sari and finished in September 2019. Note, the physical making of Homa toke long 6 hours.
Operation Flow: It has better operation when it is used as a ring.
