About Theodora Ko'p Funktsiyali Marjon

Frida Xulten kiygan odam bitta marjonda ikki xil ko'rinishda bo'lishini xohlagan. U orqa tomonga e'tibor berib, bo'yin va torso barcha qismlarini ko'rib chiqdi. Natijada old tomonga kiyilishi mumkin bo'lgan marjon. Polistirol torso ustida yaratilgan marjonlarni kiygan kishining bo'yniga sig'adigan qilib shakllantirilgan. Parcha har doim to'g'ri o'rab turishi uchun u aniq nisbatlarga ega.

Unique Properties
This necklace can be worn back to front. I wanted the wearer to be able to enjoy two quite different looks. I tried to carefully consider all parts of the neck and torso, especially the back.
Dimensions & Packaging
Measures 42cm around the neck.
4-5cm wide on the sides.
The shorter front is 21cm long.
The longer front is 35cm long.

Production Technology
Made by my hands using; Lapis Lazuli, Glass Beads, Swarovski, Turquoise, Brass Beads, Antique Copper Chain, Antique Brass Chain, Brass Ring and a Gold-plated Feather.
This piece took me 21 hours to complete. I created it on top of a polystyrene torso so that my design can drape around the neck and follow the curves.
Design Challenge
This piece was not only difficult to make because of detailed construction and hours spent. I had to also consider the curves around the neck, so that the piece falls, sits and drapes perfectly.
Research
Theodora was a strong powerful Woman, an Empress of the Byzantine Empire and wife to Justinian I who reigned 527–565.
I chose to use the semiprecious stone Lapis Lazuli as it is an ancient favorite by especially the Egyptian Kings and Queens.
Inspiration
To best describe my inspiration I would say it has a Byzantine body, an African heart and a Native American spirit.
I wanted to create a necklace that could be worn back to front.
Project Duration
This piece was created in Stockholm during January 2016.
Operation Flow
The necklace can simply be worn back to front for two different looks.
