About Time Book Chặn sách

Time Book là một chiếc chặn sách được thiết kế để sử dụng trên bàn làm việc hoặc kệ sách. Mỗi chiếc chặn sách được làm từ khối thủy tinh pha lê đánh bóng thủ công. Mực in đặc biệt được in lụa lên bề mặt và xử lý ở nhiệt độ cao. Mật độ cao của thủy tinh pha lê mang lại độ ổn định cho chặn sách khi sử dụng. Thiết kế mang tính tối giản về công năng, hình thức và chất liệu, trông giống như một tác phẩm điêu khắc hình quyển sách. Hình thức thể hiện rõ ràng công năng của sản phẩm. Phần chữ in sử dụng kiểu chữ Quinsay Parto. Các chữ cái MMXIX trên gáy sách là chữ số La Mã biểu thị năm 2019.

Unique Properties: Bookends are made by hand-polished crystal glass blocks. Special ink was screen printed on the surface and cured at high temperature. The high density of crystal glass gives them perfect stability when in use.
Time Book is minimalistic in terms of function, form and material, it’s like a book-shaped sculpture. The function is clearly presented by its form.
The text on the book uses Quinsay Parto typeface designed by Time book’s designer. The “MMXIX” on the book spine is the Roman numeral writing of “2019”.

Design Challenge: Designers wish to keep their design minimalistic in terms of function, form and material. Time Book is like a book-shaped sculpture. The function is clearly presented by its form.
Research: Bookends are made by hand-polished crystal glass blocks. Special ink was screen printed on the surface and cured at high temperature. The high density of crystal glass gives them perfect stability when in use.
Inspiration: Time Book is inspired by Marquez’s novel. The opening of “One Hundred Years of Solitude” is printed on Time Book. It is the beginning of a great novel.
Project Duration: The project started in April 2018 and finished in December 2018 in Hangzhou(China), and was exhibited in Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai in February 2019.
Operation Flow: Time Book can be placed on a desk or a bookshelf. The high density of crystal glass gives them perfect stability when it is used.stability when in use.
