About Line Rings Nhẫn

Line Rings là bộ sưu tập gồm chín chiếc nhẫn được thiết kế để làm nổi bật sự tương tác giữa người đeo và món trang sức. Một quả cầu chuyển động bên trong mỗi chiếc nhẫn trượt dọc theo một đường ray và tạo phản hồi thông qua âm thanh, độ rung và chuyển động xoay. Bộ sưu tập được lấy cảm hứng từ mê cung và kiến trúc hình học. Các cấu trúc nhiều phân đoạn tạo nên những lộ trình đa dạng cho quả cầu. Những chiếc nhẫn được sản xuất bằng công nghệ in ba chiều và kỹ thuật đúc khuôn sáp mất chất liệu đồng thau mạ bạc. Mỗi chiếc nhẫn có kích thước khoảng 4 x 4 x 4 centimet.

Unique Properties: This project is a collection of nine rings that are designed to highlight the interaction between wearer and jewelry. The moveable sphere inside the ring provides feedback to the wearer through sounds, vibration, and rotation.
Dimensions & Packaging: Approximately 4*4*4 cm each

Production Technology: 3D Printing; Lost Wax Casting; Brass; Silver Plating
Design Challenge: Precious measuring. After experimenting with different 3D printed materials, I limit the thickness of the wire to 1.2mm, with a 6mm gap in between the rail to ensure the sphere flow constantly in the ring. It is hard to calculate the measurement in a 3D form.
Inspiration: The Line Collection was inspired by the labyrinth and geometric architectures. The moveable sphere inside slides in various directions along the track, while diverse multi-segment structures bring greater possibilities to the trajectory of the ball. I utilized 3D CAD techniques to bring precision and higher complexity in creating perfect line construction in small scale rings.
Project Duration: The project started in September 2019 in Savannah, GA, and finished in March 2020.
