About Capture The Moment Phim Hoạt Hình Ngắn

Capture the Moment là một bộ phim hoạt hình ngắn nói về tầm quan trọng của thời điểm trong nhiếp ảnh. Bộ phim thể hiện các hình khối riêng lẻ chuyển động và dần biến đổi thành những hình dạng mới, xây dựng nên một khoảnh khắc hoàn hảo. Tác phẩm được thực hiện theo kỹ thuật hoạt hình tế bào (cell animation), vẽ tay từng khung hình để tạo chuyển động mượt mà và tự nhiên. Các khung hình phong cách trước tiên được thiết kế trong Adobe Illustrator. Sau đó, từng khung hình được tạo hoạt ảnh bằng tính năng dòng thời gian (timeline) trong Adobe Photoshop. Việc tổng hợp, điều chỉnh và hoàn thiện được thực hiện trong Adobe After Effects. Kết quả là một video có độ phân giải 1920 x 1080 pixel, được xem mà không cần bất kỳ tương tác nào.

Unique Properties: Capture the Moment is a very special project because it took me around four months to create it. It is very detail-oriented because each frame per second has different shapes and elements moving and morphing slowly into different shapes, creating different objects. The video is entirely a cell animation made in Adobe Photoshop. This project was also created purely based on my past experience as a photographer without any external references/inspiration.

Production Technology: Firstly, I designed style frames using Adobe Illustrator. Secondly, I animated it frame by frame using the timeline feature in Adobe Photoshop. Lastly, I moved to Adobe After Effects to compile, make adjustments, and finalize the design.
Design Challenge: The most challenging part of this project is in the detail of the aesthetics. My goal is to create a natural, organic fluid movement as much as possible, and in order to create that, I decided to do it with cell animation which takes much more time. The second obstacle is to animate and design all the small elements in a frame to be uniform in the same time.
Inspiration: The inspiration for this project is the beauty of "timing" when taking photographs. This story was based on my past experience working as a photographer where I would wait for several hours for the perfect natural lighting. I believe that a perfect picture wouldn't exist without a perfect moment. "A second would make a big difference!"
Project Duration: The project started in September 2017 in New York and finished in February 2018 in New York, and was exhibited in a screening at SVA Theatre located at 333 W 23rd St, New York, NY 10011.
Operation Flow: This project is a short movie. End user will be able to enjoy this animation without having to interact with anything.
