Meet là nhà hàng đồ nướng Hàn Quốc hướng đến giới trẻ. Nhiệm vụ của khách hàng đối với Mengchao, Hao và Sijia là tạo ra định hướng nghệ thuật và nhận diện hình ảnh để thể hiện hình ảnh thương hiệu sống động và quảng bá các loại thịt khác nhau. Hình dạng của các miếng thịt trên vỉ nướng thể hiện hình học một cách tự nhiên. Ý tưởng này đưa họ đến cột mốc quan trọng của ý tưởng, kết nối các loại thịt, hải sản và rau quả khác nhau với các hình dạng cụ thể. Sự kết hợp và hoa văn hình dạng khác nhau mang lại cho hình học một nét vui tươi và nóng bỏng cuối cùng.

Unique Properties: Meet is a Korean barbecue restaurant targeting young people. Our commission is to create an art direction and visual identity to express the vivid brand image and promote the various meats.

Design Challenge: How to turn the strong emotional/physical feeling we get from bbq into a consistent but flexible visual language.
Research: Our research included 3 parts

1. Communications with the client.

2. Feeling research. we ate a lot of bbq(lol) to immerse ourselves in the emotion which bbq can directly convey. Moodboard is the result of this part. in the moodboard.

3. visual research.
Inspiration: The shapes of meats on the grill naturally present geometries, beef tongue as circle, pork neck as rounded rectangle, and beef rolls as cylinder. This idea leads us to the milestone of our concept, connecting different meats, seafoods and vegetables with specified geometries. Various shape combinations and patterns give the geometries a playful and hot final touch. We also take advantage of the most basic graphical element - grid, to represent grills, which is unexpected but also reasonable.
Project Duration: 3 mouths
Executed in NYC and shanghai
Operation Flow: This project started with a conversation with the client. Through the conversation, we find out the ethos of the brand. Through further conversation and research, we gathered more information about the tone and language of Meet. Base on that, we developed the look and feel for Meet. Then, we apply this visual language to applications around this brand.
