About Parachute Kệ Treo Tường

Parachute là một chiếc kệ treo tường được làm từ kim loại tấm. Khi một ngăn được sử dụng, tấm ván của ngăn đó sẽ hạ xuống và treo lơ lửng tại chỗ. Tấm ván treo này giữ áo khoác, tạp chí hoặc các vật dụng tương tự và ngăn chúng rơi xuống. Bề mặt kệ mang các dải màu được phân tách bởi những khoảng cách mỏng, khiến chiếc kệ gợi nhớ đến hình ảnh đồ họa của một chiếc dù hiện đại và cũng có thể được xem như một tác phẩm nghệ thuật treo tường. Parachute có kích thước 790 mm chiều rộng, 30 mm chiều sâu và 220 mm chiều cao. Tên gọi này kết hợp hai ý tưởng: bảo vệ và rơi.

Production Technology: Parachute was made by sheet metal.
With the colored stripes separated by thin spaces, the graphic design is reminiscent of a modern parachute; this theme is transformed, in a recognisable and aesthetically successful manner, into an original shelf design.
Design Challenge: Yusuke Watanabe designed a new type of wall shelf, looks like Wall Art.

Yusuke Watanabe was worried about color of gradation, Through trial and error we found best ways. looks like Wall Art.
Inspiration: When listening to Coldplay's first album, it suddenly occurred to me to look up the word "Parachute."

It seems that the name "parachute" comes combining the Italian "parare" (to protect) with the French "chute" (to fall).

I thought that was a rather fine name.
I tried to think of devices that protect against falling.
When in use, the plank for the section being used falls, and hangs there.

Project Duration: The project started in April 2017 in Tokyo and finished in October 2018 in Tokyo, and Yusuke Watanabe was exhibited in Salone del Mobile in April 2018.
