About Expo Village Plot B Khu Phát triển Nhà ở

Expo Village Plot B là một khu phát triển nhà ở nằm bên bờ đông sông Hoàng Phố tại Thượng Hải. Các tòa nhà được bố trí bao quanh khu đất, với sáu khối nhà cao tám tầng dọc theo bờ sông ở phía tây, và các khối nhà cao hơn từ 19 đến 22 tầng ở phía đông, tạo thành đường chân trời phân tầng. Cấu trúc đô thị hiện hữu và mặt tiền của Khu Làng Expo Thượng Hải được bảo tồn. Các tấm kính và nhôm tạo nên mặt tiền module với hiệu ứng thị giác nhẹ nhàng. Các ban công mang lại ánh sáng mặt trời, không khí trong lành và tầm nhìn ra sông. Cây xanh phủ 35% diện tích khu đất, tạo nên một cộng đồng mang dáng dấp khu vườn.

Unique Properties: Through creating order in terms of spaces, light and structures, the residential development is given a tranquil, elegant image. On the one hand, the design integrates a series of spaces that vary with light and structures, so as to provide future dwellers with better sensory experiences. On the other hand, it adopts distinctive architectural design languages, and fuses cultural and artistic elements into the structural order.
Dimensions & Packaging: The buildings are organized around the plot, forming a lower west skyline and a higher east one and generating a continuous, complete urban surface as well. A multi-layered greening layout is set inside the future community, and the private spaces between public spaces and residential building clusters are appropriately divided. In addition, the design makes use of the height differences of various layers of space to enclose a garden-like livable community.

Production Technology: The facade design adopts rigorous and modern architectural languages, and echoes the fabrics of the existing buildings in the Expo Village. The facades showcase a brand new living concept, and fit into human-friendly design trends. Glass and aluminum panels are used as main materials, producing a lightweight visual effect. The modular facade design helps lighten the sense of volume and unify architectural expressions. The glass and balconies bring in abundant fresh air, sunlight, and river view.
Design Challenge: Existing buildings on the site used to receive participants of Expo 2010. The "memories of Expo 2010" carried by the land are exclusive for Shanghai as well as those who witnessed the success of Expo 2010. How to create a modern living environment in Shanghai, create a distinctive urban outline, and to make full use of the beautiful view of Huangpu River is the core issue that runs through the master planning of the project and the design concept of tower building.
Research: The buildings are organized around the plot. Plants are grown inside, with 35% green rate, forming an enclosed garden-style livable community. Six 8-storey residences are arranged along the river on the west side, and residences with 19 to 22 floors are organized along Xueye Road on the east side, thus forming a lower west skyline and a higher east one and generating a continuous and complete urban surface, a simplistic skyline and an open urban space.
Inspiration: The project is located on the east bank of Huangpu River in Shanghai, carrying the "memories of Expo 2010". It retains the existing urban fabrics and facades of Shanghai Expo Village, and takes advantage of the greenery between buildings and public landscape resources to create an ecological, green residential development that features timeless charm and modernism.

Operation Flow: To create a tranquil, elegant living environment, public spatial design starts from dwellers' homecoming experience. Drop-off courtyard enclosed by plants and waterscape serves as the forecourt of reception lobby, connects with the forecourt of clubhouse through landscape corridor, and extends to sunken courtyard via stairs. The spatial order that combines openness and closeness fully stimulates dwellers' emotions. Mixed plants and waterscape create a quiet, exquisite vibe with multiple layers.
