About Arc Bàn Cà Phê

Arc là một chiếc bàn cà phê được thiết kế cho không gian sống hiện đại. Arc được làm từ gỗ tần bì, tạo hình bằng phương pháp uốn cong ép lớp. Ba thanh gỗ cong được ghép nối với nhau tạo thành một cấu trúc tam giác ba chiều bo tròn. Mỗi thanh gỗ kết nối với hai thanh còn lại, vì vậy cần có bốn mối nối trên mỗi thanh và mỗi góc phải được cắt chính xác. Bàn có kích thước 77 centimet chiều rộng, 77 centimet chiều sâu và 48 centimet chiều cao. Thiết kế có trọng lượng nhẹ và có thể được sử dụng như một món đồ nội thất hoặc được chiêm ngưỡng như một tác phẩm điêu khắc. Arc lấy cảm hứng từ kiến trúc hiện đại và những cấu trúc đơn giản không có chi tiết trang trí thừa.

Unique Properties: The ARC stripes were made and connected using laminated veneer techniques which combines three strips to form a spherical structure. Each strip has to connect with two other strips thus each strips needs to have four joints to be set precisely.Then combined joints and form a stable three-dimensional triangular body of structure. which makes the creation unique. And because of the unique shape, the Table could easily fit in contemporary, it could act as a furniture or a piece of art.

Design Challenge: The table has an unique structural placement which creates challenges when it’s being crafted: To form the shape and the accurate joint angle, which requires a huge amount of calculation when bending and making joint each pieces of wood, is one of the key challenges when crafting.
Research: This is an outstanding Table made out of hardwood with overcome various of structural challenges and woodcrafting techniques. The Table is comfortable with its own personality, unique, light in weight and with a pretty structure and appearance.
Inspiration: This table is inspired by ARC Guitar Stand, the first creation of ARC series which is also an original HYC creation.

ARC creation was inspired by the modern architectures and the ponderation of space design on how to composite structures that are not over-decorated and form a new pattern that is elegant and enchanted.
Project Duration: The project started in 2021 in Taipei and completed in 2022 in Taipei.
