Shazhou Youhuang nằm ở Trương Gia Cảng, dọc theo sông Dương Tử, liền kề với khu phức hợp nhà máy hiện có. Cách bố trí mới bao gồm các cơ sở vừa phục vụ sản xuất vừa trở thành điểm nhấn kiến trúc. Một điểm đến du lịch công nghiệp, một môi trường nhàn nhã, dựa trên sự kết hợp giữa các yếu tố kiến trúc Giang Nam và những nét trừu tượng kiến trúc hiện đại của Trung Quốc. Là tuyến phố thương mại đa dạng, có chức năng văn hóa hiện đại, cơ sở công nghiệp tiên tiến, tạo nên điểm nhấn về kinh tế, xã hội và kiến trúc của thành phố.

- Unique Properties
- Located 90 minutes away from Shanghai, the site is adjacent to the existing factory complex in Zhangjiagang, along the Yangtze river.
The new plan includes facilities that are serving production while becoming an architectural landmark. An industrial tourism destination, a leisurely environment, based on a combination of Jiangnan architecture elements and the modern Chinese abstractions. A various commercial street, with modern cultural functions, innovative industrial facilities, making it economically, socially and architecturally the highlight of the city. - Dimensions & Packaging

- Design Challenge
- The project manifests the noble vision of "Shazhou Youhuang" as representative of the culture of yellow rice wine in Jiangnan to become a first-class brand, leading the industry with an architectural benchmark, otherwise historically known for sprawling warehouses and disconnected buildings strewn across the landscape.
From the abstraction of traditional architectural language and elements, the project reflects the memory of the iconic walls inspired by the historic hui style houses, water features and landscape elements, lane dimensions, signature colors of exterior facades and roofing details, openings, and rhythms…all reminiscent of the Jiangnan old town characteristics. - Inspiration
- The biggest design inspiration was to demonstrate and protect the heritage of Chinese yellow rice wine while expressing the history, culture, and production techniques of the Su tradition. The project, a blend of traditional and abstract modern architectural features with distinct characteristics of yellow rice wine, is now a cultural, scenic spot, bringing generations of people together. A cultural experience, through a contemporary transition of the traditional experience, rich with heritage and poetic nostalgia.
