Alfa is a leading crypto community. They inspire every day. It is the innovation engine that helps and motivates to achieve even higher goals. They are the first and largest in their niche and of course they want to stand out. Therefore, it was decided to create a site with a unique approach. Horizontal scrolling, incredible animation, modern typography. The color palette reflects mystery and modern technology well, bright neon spots add dynamics. The site is easy to understand due to the small amount of content and its proper placement.

- ITmaestro team and Alice K analyzed competitors and popular sites. Based on benchmarking and experience, a unique style was developed that highlighted the project from the first moment of launch. One of the wishes of the client was to use very little text, so UX/UI design Alice K focused on working with graphics. To get the WOW effect, animations were developed, which took a lot of time.

- The site has a one-page structure with horizontal scrolling and easy navigation.
In total, there are 6 sections in the menu with a minimum of text description so as not to overload users.
The founders of the ALFA community organized the first incubator in this industry. Providing information and financial support for the development of interesting projects in the field of blockchain.
To participate - users can use the contact form to tell about their project and take part in the competition.
Also, users can switch the language, get acquainted with the team and ask administration questions using the contact form. - Research
- The task was to develop a promo site for the largest blockchain community with an emphasis on the visual component and a minimum of text.
1. After the briefing of the client, similar sites and competitors were analyzed. Advantages and disadvantages are revealed.
2. After that, a wireframe and prototype of project were designed;
3. Alice K and ITmaestro team moved on to visual design, development and animations;
4. The site has been tested for usability on different types of users (and on different devices), as a result of which errors were found and eliminated (in order of priority) that made it difficult for users to achieve the goal.
5. Also: usability tests, system load, site loading speed, support for all popular devices and other important tests and studies are regularly conducted. - Inspiration
- Blockchain is a very rapidly developing field and it was incredibly interesting for ITmaestro team to work with it. This area is the future. UX/UI designer Alice K wanted to make a dark design using modern styles therefore applied glassmorphism and geometric fonts.
Result:
A dark interface has been designed, a horizontal scroll on the computer version of the design has become a feature, which you can hardly find anywhere else, and very unusual graphics combined with the minimalism of dark interfaces. - Image Credits

The idea of horizontal scrolling for the Alfa website emerged as a way to create a bold and unconventional user experience. Since the Alfa project is part of the innovative blockchain community, it felt appropriate to reflect this forward-thinking ethos in the design itself. Horizontal scrolling is still relatively rare, so implementing it helped immediately differentiate the website and evoke a «WOW» factor.The inspiration came from the desire to step away from traditional vertical layouts and experiment with a style that mirrors the dynamic and futuristic essence of the blockchain industry. The concept also aligns with modern design trends, leveraging sleek animations and smooth transitions to ensure an intuitive and enjoyable user journey.By focusing on usability during testing, I ensured the horizontal scrolling remained user-friendly and accessible across all devices. The result was a visually striking interface that redefined expectations while maintaining practicality.
The decision to use a dark interface combined with glassmorphism and geometric fonts was rooted in the desire to reflect the innovative and mysterious nature of the blockchain industry. Dark themes naturally align with the high-tech, futuristic vibe of the crypto community, providing a sophisticated and immersive experience. Glassmorphism adds depth and modernity, creating a layered, almost ethereal visual effect that captivates users while maintaining clarity.Geometric fonts were chosen for their bold and clean structure, which complements the minimalistic design and ensures that the textual content remains highly legible and professional. This combination not only enhances the aesthetics but also aligns with the community's values of modernity, innovation, and precision.Additionally, dark, mysterious interfaces are one of my strongest areas of expertise, and my portfolio includes many such projects. Over the years, my work in this style has consistently garnered admiration from my hundreds of thousands of followers and clients. These designs always leave a lasting impression, making them a signature aspect of my creative approach and perfectly suited for the Alfa website.
Balancing minimal text with impactful visual storytelling required a precise and thoughtful approach. Since the client emphasized a clean, text-light design, the primary focus was on creating visuals and animations that could convey key messages effectively and intuitively. Every graphic element was designed to tell a story, whether through bold imagery, dynamic animations, or strategic placement that guides the users journey seamlessly.Animations played a crucial role in this process, adding interactivity and drawing attention to important elements without overwhelming users. For instance, subtle transitions and effects were incorporated to enhance engagement while maintaining clarity. The horizontal scrolling structure also allowed me to organize content in a way that felt natural and exploratory, ensuring users could absorb information effortlessly.My extensive experience with such visually driven interfaces was invaluable here. The color selection process for the Alfa was rooted in aligning the visuals with the enigmatic and cutting-edge nature of blockchain technology. Dark tones were chosen as the foundation of the interface to evoke mystery, depth, and sophistication — qualities often associated with the blockchain industry. This dark canvas allowed the neon accents to truly shine, creating a striking contrast that draws attention and adds vibrancy.Neon shades of purple, pink, and blue were carefully selected for their modern and futuristic feel. Purple, in particular, symbolizes innovation and creativity, while pink and blue add energy and balance. These colors work together to convey both the high-tech essence of the crypto space and the excitement surrounding it.Modern typography was another deliberate choice, with geometric fonts reinforcing the theme of precision and forward-thinking. The typography complements the visual style by adding a clean, structured, and contemporary look.
The dark, modern aesthetic with glassmorphism, neon accents, and minimal text ensures clarity and visual impact for users from different cultural backgrounds. These choices reflect sophistication and the cutting-edge nature of blockchain technology, making the site accessible without relying on language. I conducted usability tests on a diverse audience to refine the design, ensuring it’s both innovative and universally understandable. This balance of innovation and inclusivity sets the Alfa apart.
The animation work for Alfa website was indeed time-intensive, but it was essential for creating the «WOW» effect and engaging users from the first moment. One of the main challenges was ensuring smooth transitions and interactions, especially given the complex design elements like horizontal scrolling and dynamic graphics. I wanted the animations to not only be visually striking but also serve a functional purpose, guiding users through the site without distracting them. It took a lot of fine-tuning to strike that balance. Ultimately, these animations contributed significantly to the innovative feel of the site and elevated the overall user experience, providing both visual appeal and intuitive navigation.
The pioneering status of Alfa website as the first community-driven incubator in the blockchain industry had a significant influence on my design decisions. I wanted the design to reflect both innovation and trust, while showcasing the cutting-edge nature of blockchain technology. The bold, dark interface with modern typography and dynamic visuals conveyed a sense of mystery and progress. The minimal text approach allowed the visuals and animations to speak louder, reflecting the forward-thinking mentality of the community. The unique design choices helped communicate the idea that Alfa is breaking new ground and shaping the future of the blockchain space.
Maintaining the horizontal scrolling feature and dramatic visual elements across various devices required careful consideration of responsiveness. I made sure the design was adaptable by testing it on multiple screen sizes, from smartphones to large monitors. For the horizontal scroll, I focused on ensuring smooth navigation and readability regardless of the device. I also paid attention to optimizing images and animations for faster load times. The goal was to preserve the immersive experience and visual impact of the design while ensuring it functioned seamlessly across different platforms.
User feedback has been instrumental in refining Alfa. Since its launch, I've closely monitored user interactions and gathered insights to improve the experience. Based on this feedback, I made adjustments to enhance usability, streamline navigation, and ensure that the design remains intuitive across different devices. I also focused on fine-tuning animations and improving load speeds. Regular usability testing and adjustments were made to ensure the website continues to meet the needs of the ever-growing crypto community while maintaining its innovative edge.
Winning the A'Design Award for Alfa has reinforced my belief in the power of creative innovation combined with user-centric design principles. This recognition has inspired me to continue pushing boundaries, ensuring that every new project I undertake strikes the perfect balance between innovative aesthetics and usability. I've also shared this experience with my design students, helping them understand how to approach complex design challenges while keeping the user experience at the forefront. It's been a motivating factor in refining my approach to design and helping my students grow professionally.
