About Beatbot Sora 70 Robots
Beatbot Sora 70 is a robotic cleaner for swimming pools. The JetPulse technology uses dual water jets to capture floating debris and guide it into the suction inlet, removing the need for manual skimming. Eight motors and 18 sensors support the cleaning of the pool floor, walls, waterline and surface. A surface mooring system deploys two floating pods for stable docking at the pool edge, while SmartDrain channels expel trapped water to reduce weight for one-handed lifting. The streamlined body limits drag during underwater movement.
Beijing Fromd Design Consulting Co.,Ltd's Beatbot Sora 70 Robots emerges from contemporary industrial design traditions that privilege the harmonious integration of technological capability with refined aesthetic sensibility, representing an accomplished synthesis of functional engineering and visual sophistication. The work demonstrates masterful command of form language, employing softened geometric volumes that communicate both approachability and precision through their carefully calibrated curvature and edge resolution. The chromatic strategy proves particularly noteworthy, as the distinctive violet-purple metallic finish elevates the object beyond utilitarian convention, suggesting premium positioning while the graphite black track assembly provides essential visual grounding and communicates mechanical robustness. Technical achievement manifests in the seamless transitions between material zones, where reflective upper housing meets matte undercarriage without visual discord, indicating sophisticated manufacturing processes and thoughtful design development. The tracked locomotion system, presented with rhythmic tread articulation, evokes associations with reliable mobility across challenging terrain while maintaining compact proportions suitable for domestic environments. Recessed functional elements—ventilation apertures and interface zones—integrate cleanly within the overall form envelope, suggesting a design philosophy that refuses to sacrifice aesthetic coherence for operational necessity. The presentation strategy, employing neutral infinite background and controlled studio illumination, allows the object's intrinsic formal qualities to command attention without environmental distraction, a curatorial choice that emphasizes the design's sculptural presence. This work invites contemplation of how contemporary automated systems might seamlessly integrate into domestic spaces, proposing that technological advancement and visual refinement need not exist in opposition but rather might amplify one another through thoughtful design synthesis.

- Production Technology
- It features a titanium alloy charging assembly and fully recyclable packaging. The surface treatment eliminates paint spraying, enhancing quality and durability while significantly reducing VOC emissions and supporting sustainability.
Its sleek, streamlined shape blends into any pool environment, minimizing drag during underwater movement and increasing downward force to improve adhesion, stability, and cleaning efficiency. - Design Challenge
- Floating debris has long been a persistent challenge in pool cleaning. Skimming by hand is slow and tiring, and traditional designs merely nudge debris around instead of capturing it. To solve this, the Beatbot Sora 70 comes with innovative JetPulse technology, using water jets on both sides to actively capture and guide floating contaminants into the main suction inlet. Combined with strong suction power of 6,800 gallons per hour, it removes surface debris quickly and completely.
- Project Duration
- The design and development of the Beatbot Sora 70 took place in Suzhou from June 2025 to January 2026. It was showcased at CES in the United States in January 2026.
- Operation Flow
- Its innovative intelligent surface mooring system automatically deploys dual floating pods for precise, stable docking. Integrated SmartDrain technology then opens internal drainage channels to expel trapped water, greatly reducing overall weight so users can lift it with just one hand.
A top mounted LED panel shows the current mode and battery level, while the app lets users view pool mapping and cleaning paths in real time and select cleaning modes on demand, enhancing convenience and control. - Research
- The Beatbot Sora 70 solves the low cleaning efficiency and cumbersome operation of traditional designs. Its innovative JetPulse technology uses dual water jets to efficiently capture and guide floating debris into the suction slot. Its streamlined body and intelligent surface mooring system enable agile underwater movement and easy pool edge retrieval. Navigation based on multiple sensors and remote control via the app or handheld remote further raise the bar for smart pool cleaning.
- Inspiration
- The design answers a deep rooted need to free users from the chore of pool maintenance. While traditional robots clean the floor and walls, they often miss the most visible surface debris, forcing manual skimming. The Beatbot Sora 70 changes that. Its innovative JetPulse technology uses dual water jets to precisely capture and guide floating debris into the suction inlet, delivering fully autonomous cleaning without any manual intervention.
