Design Interview about Corso Rum Packaging

The inspiration was the facets of diamonds. The idea was to create something remarkable and unique.

My main focus was to create the base shape of the bottle and try to avoid doing something that already exists.

The future plan is to use this achievement to promote and make design better every day.

The concept took around 2 weeks to get done.

I had this idea in mind and decided to bring it to reality.

At the moment i'm thinking about selling the project.

Designing package was always a thing that i loved, so i decided to do something without a client changing the design for something that i don't like. So it was 100% my view.

This was only by myself.

The targeted customer are people that want something very specific and premium and are willing to pay for it.

Probably the fact of using the very unique and premium shape.

The name came from the Corsair word. A privateer or corsair (from the Italian "corsaro": ship commander who attacks ships) was someone who, by mission or through a government's charter (or letter of marque), was authorized to plunder ships from another nation, taking advantage of the fact that commercial transactions were based, at the time, on the material transfer of wealth. Theoretically, he was a legal pirate, recognized by international law.

I used 3Ds Max and Vray, Illustrator was used to do the vectors and Photoshop for retouch.

I believe that's the concept of the bottle itself.

This was only by myself. I worked on everything.

Nothing too much specific.

I did a great research on Behance and Pinterest mainly to grab some references.

Modelling the shape of the bottle was very challenging, and also understand how the light affects the shape leaded into a lot of tests.

I've been submiting works to A'Design Awards for years, i believe that's a great way to promote the works.

I learned to don't skip the steps on the project, on this case in specific i was always back to some step to refine. I'm a bit perfeccionist also, sometimes i think that the project will never be done, this is something that i always trying to improve.

I believe that's all! Thank you!
