About D Code Symbol Mark

D Code is a symbol mark based on traditional Japanese aesthetics and the idea of natural harmony. The composition follows the Silver Ratio of 1 to 1.414, known in Japan as the Yamato Ratio, a proportion long used in Japanese architecture and art. The form combines the five vowels of the Sacred Mizukuki Characters into a single shape. D Code is built in three layers: a white symbol, a mandala of 25 Mizukuki patterns, and a black symbol, reflecting the balance of yin and yang. The layered structure is reproduced with traditional Ukiyo-e printing techniques.

Hikaru Deguchi's D Code Symbol Mark engages the enduring visual language of geometric reduction and systematic organization, positioning itself within the distinguished lineage of modernist graphic design that privileges clarity, universality, and structural intelligence, this symbol mark demonstrates the designer's command of fundamental design principles including symmetry, proportion, figure-ground relationships, and the expressive potential of severe formal restraint, the compositional achievement rests primarily in the elegant tension between rigid orthogonal geometry and the organic circular boundary, a dialectic that recalls both architectural traditions of rectilinear spatial division contained within curved forms and the symbolic resonance of circles as emblems of wholeness, completion, and infinite continuity, the grid structure within the circular field suggests multiple cultural and functional references simultaneously, evoking traditional lattice screens that mediate between interior and exterior spaces in architectural contexts, the proportional systems of Japanese spatial organization, the rational grid systems championed by Swiss graphic designers of the mid-twentieth century, and the contemporary digital aesthetic of pixel matrices and screen-based interfaces, technically the mark exhibits exceptional formal economy, achieving maximum communicative effect through minimum visual means, the consistent stroke weight throughout both circular perimeter and interior grid demonstrates sophisticated understanding of optical balance, as does the precise proportional relationship between the width of linear elements and the dimensions of the rectangular cells they define, the single white circular aperture positioned at the center of the horizontal median band serves multiple compositional functions, operating as focal anchor that draws the eye inward, as breathing space that prevents the grid from appearing overly dense or rigid, and as subtle asymmetric element that enlivens an otherwise perfectly symmetrical composition, this small disruption of the otherwise relentless geometry suggests possibility, opening, passage, or portal, the mark's achromatic palette reflects the modernist conviction that color, while seductive, can be secondary to form, and that black and white in high contrast offer sufficient visual impact while ensuring reproduction fidelity across media and scale, thematically the symbol appears to explore the relationship between containment and division, unity and multiplicity, the one and the many, how a singular circular boundary can encompass systematic internal differentiation without fragmenting into chaos, viewers might contemplate how this visual structure balances order with flexibility, rigidity with grace, and how the small central void functions as both punctuation and invitation to deeper engagement with the systematic beauty of geometric harmony.

Unique Properties
D Code, The Ultimate Energy Symbol of Japanese Aesthetics
D Code is a symbol that embodies the spirit and natural beauty of Japan.
At its core lies the Silver Ratio (1:1.414), called the Yamato Ratio in Japan, a primordial proportion symbolizing the ideal form of natural harmony and beauty.

D Code is not merely a design.
It visualizes the unseen order of nature, the shimmering of a lake, the flow of the wind, the rhythm that resonates through all living things, manifesting as an energy device that enhances life.

Composed according to this sacred ratio, its three modes (The Beauty of Silence, The Beauty of Quiet Determination, and The Beauty of Coexistence) draw forth the inner power of those who behold or possess it, awakening harmony and resonance.

D Code is not decoration.
It is a Japanese symbol of beauty that aligns one's mind, body, and space with the universal laws of nature.

Production Technology
D Code is a three-layered symbol. The first layer is the white D-Code, the second layer is a mandala composed of 25 sacred Mizukuki Characters patterns, and the third layer is the black D Code. It incorporates the traditional Japanese concept of the harmony of yin and yang. This three-dimensional structure can only be reproduced using Japanese Ukiyo-e techniques. Although the second and third layers remain invisible, their presence amplifies the power of this symbol.
Inspiration
This symbol mark is inspired by Sacred Mizukuki Characters, said to appear on the surface of Lake Biwa in Japan on clear days. It combines the five great vowels of Sacred Mizukuki Characters, which are the source of all voices, into a single form. Sacred Mizukuki Characters are believed to be a script created by Great Nature (the primordial existence).
