About Flow 360 Ergonomic Chair
Flow 360 is an ergonomic office chair designed for long periods of seated work. The follow supporting structure allows the independent lumbar support to move with the waist and fit the body curve in real time. An adaptive weight activity cable mechanism responds to different body weights and sitting positions, from upright to reclined, without manual operation. The armrest adjusts in several directions, and a trifold footrest supports the legs. Recycled plastics, fireproof materials, water-based eco-leather and breathable mesh fabric are used in the chair.

The design demonstrates sophisticated understanding of biomechanical principles, evidenced in the carefully articulated lumbar support system whose organic curvature echoes the natural lordotic curve of the human spine, suggesting deep engagement with ergonomic research and anthropometric data. The mesh seating surfaces, stretched taut across engineered frames, represent a technical textile tradition that prioritizes breathability and pressure distribution, addressing the thermal and circulatory concerns inherent in extended seated occupancy. Perhaps most notably, the integrated footrest mechanism visible in the reclined configuration speaks to an expanded conception of workplace seating that acknowledges moments of rest and recovery as essential components of productive professional life. - The whole chair utilizes lots of recycled plastics, reducing carbon emissions during production. It adopts fireproof materials and processes to lower the risk of causing fires in confined spaces. It also applies innovative materials such as water-based, solvent-free eco-leather, silicone materials, and reformable engineering plastics, reducing the use of harmful chemicals, enhancing the overall stability and durability of the product, and delivering a long-lasting comfortable user experience.
- Design Challenge
- The challenge of this design is to create an ergonomic chair that adapts to users with different weights, heights, and body shapes. Therefore, Flow 360 is designed with the follow supporting architecture and adaptive weight activity cable mechanism to ensure that diverse users obtain proper support from lumbar to sacrum regardless of sitting postures. It also utilizes soft and breathable skin-friendly mesh fabrics, providing a comfortable prolonged sitting experience.

- The project finished in April 2024 in Zhejiang.
- Operation Flow
- Flow 360 features the follow supporting structure, with the independent lumbar support dynamically adjusting in a concentric manner following the user's waist movement to fit the human waist curve in real time. It is equipped with the adaptive weight activity cable mechanism that intelligently judges and handles the loaded weight with a proper damping capacity, requiring no manual operation and adapting to various weights and different sitting positions from reclining to sitting upright.

- Nowadays most office chairs are not ergonomic, especially not capable of providing proper lumbar support for the user while reclining. To this end, Flow 360 dynamically adapts to the user's changeable sitting postures with three innovative technologies, including the following supporting with sacral support, multi-angle adjustable magic armrest, and trifold magic footrest, thereby ensuring arms-waist-legs all-around comfortable support.
