About Fly By Jing Packaging
Fly By Jing is a packaging design for a Sichuan chili crisp sauce sold in a glass jar. The design is rooted in tradition and shaped for the way people eat today. A striking color palette and a direct tone of voice set the packaging apart from other sauces on the market. Run-on sentences printed on the label describe the brand and break it down for the reader. The design reflects the values and purpose of the brand, which draws on the flavors of Chengdu and its small local eateries.

- Rooted in tradition but made for the way we eat today, Fly By Jing doesn’t conform to anyone else’s notions of value, taste, and tradition - and neither does the design. The packaging's boldness is incomparable to any other sauce on the market. - The rebrand of FBJ was aligned with the "rebrand" of its founder, Jing. She founded Fly By Jing in 2018, inspired by the flavors of her hometown Chengdu and its popular ‘fly restaurants’ - soulful hole-in-the-wall eateries so good they attract diners like flies. Her journey in food has taken her from the streets of Chengdu to cities all over the world. Fly By Jing is the product of a journey of discovery and coming home to self.
