About Infinity Console
Infinity is a console designed for living spaces. The console measures 1800 mm by 800 mm by 450 mm. Its base is carved in wood and formed as a geometric alveolar structure, softened by a series of curves. The curved forms are inspired by waves and other organic shapes found in nature. High-end craftsmanship from the artisan tradition of Brianza made the complex curves possible. An unusual finish is applied to the outer surface. Infinity can hold objects, works of art and lighting accessories, and also serves as a decorative element.
Positioned within contemporary discourse surrounding the intersection of sculptural practice and functional design, the Infinity Console by Cesare Arosio emerges as a meditation on organic form, material expression, and the enduring dialogue between craft tradition and innovation. The piece engages with a lineage of biomorphic furniture design that traces connections to mid-century organic modernism while simultaneously participating in contemporary conversations around parametric form-finding and digital fabrication possibilities. Arosio's formal vocabulary demonstrates remarkable restraint, confining the palette to a singular warm terracotta tonality that allows the sculptural complexity of the undulating silhouette to command full attention without chromatic distraction. The vertical reeding that envelops the form references classical architectural fluting while transforming this traditional surface treatment into a contemporary expression of rhythmic texture, each narrow channel functioning as a light-catching element that animates the curved surfaces with subtle tonal gradations throughout the day. The tripartite structure of interconnected cylindrical volumes suggests geological formations, perhaps wind-carved sandstone or water-smoothed river stones, inviting contemplation of natural processes that shape matter over extended time. Technical accomplishment manifests in the seamless integration of the smooth upper surface with the articulated walls below, demonstrating sophisticated joinery and finishing that conceals structural necessities within fluid aesthetic expression. The piece occupies space with generous presence yet maintains visual lightness through the interplay between solid mass and the rhythmic dissolution of its ribbed surface. One might consider how this work invites touch while simultaneously commanding visual contemplation, how it transforms utilitarian storage furniture into a meditative object worthy of sustained engagement, and how its warm materiality might activate domestic or gallery environments with quiet yet persistent presence.

- Unique Properties
- Part of the Infinity collection, this console revisits the unique detail of the geometric alveolar base, enhancing it thanks to a series of soft curves. To achieve this ambitious goal, raw materials such as wood are fundamental and well exploited, taking advantage of the mind-blowing variety of finishes, concepts and techniques they naturally provide.
The special base in carved wood is not only splendid to the eye and captivating to the touch, but above all a symbol of the skill of craftsmen. - Dimensions & Packaging

- Production Technology
- A masterful technique of high-end craftsmanship has made it possible to create extremely complex curves. The sophisticated workmanship that distinguishes the infinity console refers to the typical artisan heritage of Brianza. The curved shapes are combined with a taste for refined details, such as the unusual workmanship on the outside of the console, made through the use of a particular material.
- Design Challenge
- The result of technological research into materials, it combines the elegance of the curved line with the functionality of use. The base developed through a sophisticated technique of high cabinet-making. In which it has been possible to create curvatures of considerable complexity. The problem faced in the construction of the console was precisely the study of the curves as a function of the physical characteristics of curvature of the decorative material to be applied on the external surface. A challenge overcome through the skilful craftsmanship of our craftsmen.
- Project Duration
- The project started in september 2021 and finished in April 2022 and it was exibitet in Salone del mobile.
- Operation Flow
- Infinity console is a multi-purpose object for placing objects, works of art and lighting accessories. With its design it can also be used as a decorative element within the space.
- Research
- We started from an introspective research on the relationship with nature with the aim of finding a material that could embody the sinuosity of natural forms. Through the use of preparatory sketches and the consolidated relationship established with the company and the artisans, we succeeded in our intent. Over time, we have perfected the technique and pushed ourselves further and further towards the physical limit of the material in order to obtain a model that looks like a real natural sculpture. The final element is a decorative piece of furniture with a strong personality, which can fit with style and elegance into any living context.
- Inspiration
- The inspiration for the product, comes from the long and intense collaboration with the company Laurameroni design collection. A unique, diverse and distinguishable company thanks to its ability to work with materials. These are the characteristics and therefore the inspirations that led to the design of the Infinity product in its complexity, materiality and uniqueness. Powerfully expressive, this console draws inspiration from the fluid, organic shapes of waves, true sculptures produced by nature.
