About Lost Species Education Illustrations
The three information graphics serve as a basis to introduce the topic of the Lazarus-Effect. They include "The Six Major Mass Extinctions", "Death Watch of the Species", as well as an information graphic of the "Local Fern Plants and Flowering Plants" (based on the Rote Liste, 2018). The Lazarus Effect is based on the theme of the Lazarus-Effect, as coined by paleontologist David Jablonski. This pertains to the unintentional rediscovery (by accident, through expedition or through relocation projects) of a previously lost or considered extinct form of life.

The subject deals with the death and (mass) extinction. The black and white style in detail and the rich contrasted illustrations are the best way of visualization and communication for this serious topic. - Project Duration
- The project startet in may 2020
- Operation Flow
- The information graphics have been developed to accompany and introduce the Lazarus Effect campaign.
- Research
- Research with anthropological, biological and paleontological literature, as well as support of various natural history museums.
The design is rich in detail. They are drawn as vector graphics in black and white and thus fits in well with most of the musee's scenographic installations.
The graphics are structured in such a way that the viewer can discover more and more. All thre infographics are in a large-format and understandable for everyone. The Topics are compressed and build on on each other. - Inspiration
