About Lumen Cube Office
Lumen Cube is a commercial development that seamlessly balances business efficiency with a substantial contribution to the urban environment. It creates a bright, creative, and inspiring space for people. The fully glazed central atrium is the main highlight flooded with daylight by day and glowing warmly at night. The dynamic cubic composition with protruding glass volumes gives the building visual lightness and a distinctly modern character. Open green terraces, flexible office layouts, and energy-efficient solutions make Lumen Cube a prime example of modern, comfortable architecture.
Viktar Varabei's Lumen Cube Office represents a compelling synthesis of contemporary architectural aspirations toward environmental integration and spatial transparency within workplace design, positioning itself within broader twenty-first-century movements that seek to dissolve traditional boundaries between built environment and natural landscape while maintaining the geometric clarity and material rationality inherited from Modernist traditions. The design demonstrates considerable compositional sophistication through its tripartite massing strategy, wherein a crisp white podium establishes street presence through rhythmic fenestration that provides both visual interest and human scale articulation, a dramatically glazed corner volume introduces luminous transparency that signals welcoming accessibility while flooding interior spaces with natural light, and a thoughtfully developed rooftop level transforms utilitarian service areas into amenity-rich outdoor zones complete with pergola structures and planted terraces that extend the building's programmatic utility while contributing to urban biodiversity and stormwater management. The chromatic restraint demonstrates confident minimalism, allowing architectural form and spatial organization to command primary attention while the strategic deployment of aquamarine-tinted glazing creates a memorable chromatic signature that distinguishes the building within its context and suggests qualities of clarity, freshness, and environmental consciousness through associations with water and sky. Technical accomplishment manifests in the precise geometric articulation of facade systems, the successful integration of multiple material palettes ranging from reflective glass to matte cladding panels, and the sophisticated coordination of building massing with landscape design elements that create a cohesive site composition rather than mere object-in-field relationships—the organic insertions of lawn within the orthogonal plaza paving demonstrate particular sensitivity to biophilic design principles, offering visual respite, tactile variety, and ecological function while their curvilinear geometries provide scalar mediation between human bodies and architectural volumes. The design engages longstanding architectural dialogues regarding transparency and enclosure, public and private realms, built and natural environments, proposing through its formal language that contemporary workplace architecture can achieve spatial generosity, environmental responsibility, occupant wellbeing, and urban vitality simultaneously without sacrificing aesthetic coherence or functional efficiency. The extensive glazing systems suggest organizational cultures valuing openness, collaboration, and visual connectivity, while rooftop amenities acknowledge evolving workplace expectations that extend beyond enclosed desk environments to embrace outdoor gathering, informal exchange, and restorative contact with planting and sky. The plaza design invites contemplation of how architecture shapes public realm experience, demonstrating that thoughtful hardscape composition, strategic tree placement, and generous pedestrian circulation zones can transform utilitarian parking and access requirements into genuine places of urban congregation and social encounter. One might observe how the building's relationship to its verdant surroundings—neither dominating the established tree canopy nor retreating deferentially, but rather engaging in scaled dialogue through its own rooftop greenery and transparent materiality—suggests possibilities for architectural intervention that enriches rather than diminishes existing site character, inviting viewers to consider how contemporary construction might contribute positively to urban ecological networks while serving functional programmatic needs with spatial elegance and environmental intelligence.

- Unique Properties
- The project demonstrates a balance between commercial functionality office and public spaces recreational areas, pedestrian accessibility. The atrium became the main wow-effect and the center of everything – not only the interior space, but also the shaping. The dynamic structure with protruding glass volumes creates a visual lightness and a modern image, emphasizing the connection between the interior and exterior spaces. The main purpose of an atrium is to provide a place for relaxation, and the best way to relax is to change activities or at least the environment.
- Dimensions & Packaging
- The site covers an area of 4,340 square meters, with a total building area of 7,790 square meters (6,540 square meters above ground and 1,250 square meters underground). The building has a height of 40 meters, with 5 floors above ground and some areas reaching 6 floors

- Production Technology
- The building consists of six floors, with retail spaces and cafes on the ground floor. The typical floors 2 to 5 are dedicated to offices. The structural grid allows for a flexible layout system that can be easily adapted to meet any needs and can be modified based on the residents' requirements. The building features open green terraces on various floors, providing a comfortable working environment.
The modular facade geometry with panoramic windows and light-colored concrete panels maximizes natural light while reducing energy consumption by up to 40%. - Design Challenge
- The primary challenge was balancing commercial functions with public accessibility..

Location: Belarus, Hrodna - Operation Flow
- he project combines advanced architectural solutions, environmental innovations, and social responsibility, creating a space that not only meets business needs but also improves the quality of life in the city.
The urban planning significance of this point is reflected in the design of the new building's corner, which features a broken "cubistic" line. The sculptural nature of the corner is enhanced by glass consoles arranged in a cubic composition. The corner of the building features a recessed entrance, which extends the street square and "lures" passersby inside. The pattern of the concrete tiles unobtrusively "directs" the flow of people in the right direction. The atrium's full-glass construction creates a dynamic interior space and allows sunlight to enter the building, creating a connection between the inside and outside. In the evening, the building is illuminated, becoming a visual and color focal point. - Research
- With all the general rationality and restraint of decisions, it was possible to create an architecture that was not boring at all, with a creative, stimulating atmosphere and an abundance of light. For the success of the project, it was important to achieve durability, elegance and a surreal spatial effect.
- Inspiration
- Lumen Cube is not merely a structure-it is a light-responsive urban catalyst, where architecture becomes a medium for dialogue between people, nature, and the city. Lumen Cube reimagines the urban office typology through the interplay of light, geometry, and human-centric design. At its core, the project is a modular concrete-and-glass composition where translucent volumes emit a soft, energy-efficient luminescence at night-transforming the building into a beacon of transparency and innovation. The name Lumen Cube reflects this duality-Lumen symbolizes enlightenment, openness, and the flow of ideas, while Cube embodies the structural clarity and urban presence of its geometric massing.
