About Pescare 55 Sport Fishing Yacht
Designed for high performance, the hull features a deep v, stepped planing hull optimized to minimize hydrodynamic drag. The superstructure seamlessly incorporates a hardtop and large windows. The architecture is distinguished by a closed stern and a deck layout in which the fishing seats are strategically positioned. This solidifies its position as a cutting edge sport fishing boat, with its aggressive lines redefining modern navigation. It features a lounge area, a dedicated fish storage space, and a bar; the ability to stow the fishing seats allows for a versatile and multifunctional space.
Positioned within the distinguished tradition of contemporary marine design that synthesizes sculptural elegance with purposeful engineering, Ignacio Mariani's Pescare 55 Sport Fishing Yacht emerges as a compelling exemplar of twenty-first century yacht aesthetics where form and function achieve seamless integration, the vessel's design vocabulary drawing upon decades of evolutionary refinement in sport fishing craft while introducing fresh formal innovations that distinguish it within the category, the sophisticated interplay of metallic surfaces demonstrates masterful understanding of how light interacts with compound curves and reverse angles creating ever-changing visual effects as the yacht moves through varying conditions, the proportional relationships between hull depth, freeboard height, and superstructure mass reveal careful calibration that balances visual presence with practical considerations of seakeeping and interior volume, the darkened glass band serves both functional purposes of solar control and aesthetic ones of creating visual tension against the luminous hull surfaces, the image captures the vessel in its ideal context of open water passage where the marriage of hydrodynamic efficiency and aesthetic ambition finds full expression in the graceful wake pattern that signatures its passage, the compositional choice to present the yacht in active navigation rather than static documentation emphasizes the experiential dimension of marine design where vessels exist to move through space and time carrying their occupants toward adventure and discovery, the Mediterranean setting with its distinctive quality of light and color provides an appropriately aspirational context that speaks to the lifestyle dimensions integral to yacht ownership and the dreams of freedom and exploration that such vessels embody, one might contemplate how this design negotiates the tension between tradition and innovation that characterizes the most successful marine architecture

- Production Technology
- The pescare 55 balances sport fishing and luxury through cutting-edge naval engineering. Its hull was optimized with cfd simulations for maximum efficiency. Built with composite sandwich materials (prfv/pvc), carbon fiber, and aluminum, it reduces weight and improves stability. Its production employs vacuum infusion and cnc machining, ensuring millimeter precision, high structural strength, and lower environmental impact. A design focused on performance and innovation. To achieve this goal, the design and production process relied on an integration of advanced digital methodologies and cutting-edge manufacturing technologies.
- Design Challenge
- The most difficult part of the project was creating a novel and distinctive product that met market requirements and standards, but was also out of the ordinary. The word innovation is somewhat difficult to apply in such a digitized world with so much information available at all times. It is easy to fall back on a product that already exists and simply modify a few lines. We believe that this project will be very well received by the public who truly value good design. As it is a boat, the technology is well established, and its aluminum hull allows for a lightweight yet resistant structure. We simply hope that its acceptance and integration into the market will be really good and that it can generate a paradigm shift in the design of fishing yachts.
- Project Duration
- The project began in july 2025 in Argentina, when my contact in Italy contacted me with the idea of creating a new concept that would break the paradigms of fishing boats. With the idea of creating a different boat, we were able to meet all the requirements and apply them to this new design. The project was completed in february 2026 and has not yet been published.
- Operation Flow
- This highly sporty and efficient fishing yacht, thanks to its hull design, allows us to sail safely and smoothly, achieving high speeds without losing stability or control. Its wide stern allows us to enjoy a sunny day as well as to carry out the main activity for which this boat was designed: deep-sea fishing. The interior maintains luxury and detail but in a constant balance and with accentuated lines that give it character and style compared to its competitors.
- Research
- The main challenge was to create a disruptive fishing boat that broke the current paradigm. Stepping away from automated trends, we rethought the industry to exceed the highest standards. Our proposal is clear: why not fish on a luxury yacht that also offers exceptional sea performance? We unite luxury, comfort, and cutting-edge design to provide a truly unparalleled experience. That is Pescare, the essence of fishing.
- Inspiration
- Inspiration comes from studying new forms inspired by maritime activities. Its aggressive design harks back to the old harpoons, effective and fast, that were used for deep-sea fishing. Where its blade cut through the water until it reached its prey. The idea of cutting through the water was one of the main design principles behind the pescare 55, which also had to do with the purpose of the boat: to take us out to sea to engage in one of the oldest activities in human history, fishing.

Design Interview about Pescare 55 Sport Fishing Yacht
The inspiration comes from the exploration of new forms inspired by maritime activities. Its aggressive design is reminiscent of the old harpoons—efficient and fast—that were used for deep-sea fishing. Those in which the blade sliced through the water until it reached its prey. The idea of slicing through the water was one of the fundamental design principles of the Pescare 55, reflected in its hull, which also had to serve the boat’s purpose without sacrificing style and comfort.
We wanted to create a completely new and innovative concept for fishing boats, and I think we've succeeded—at the very least, we'll be able to offer something entirely different from what's currently available on the market.
Let’s hope this achievement opens the door to new projects where we can showcase our skills in designing new yachts.
This project has been in development for a year, following several back-and-forths with the team during which we determined the boat’s true purpose and its design.
This project came about after several phone calls with my partner, who lives in Italy while I live in Argentina. He suggested we create a new concept for a fishing yacht; he provided the hull, and I took care of the rest...
The design hasn't been sold yet, but we hope it will be soon, as we're confident it will make a big impact on the market. The project is up for sale, and if the buyer needs any modifications, we can make them!
My passion for boats and creating a new concept.
The ideal client is anyone who loves deep-sea fishing and wants to stand out from the crowd with an innovative design in the fishing yacht sector, without compromising on luxury and comfort.
I think the shape and layout of the furniture, as well as the option to store your fishing chairs, transform the space and give it a whole new dimension.
“Pescare” refers to deep-sea fishing, the vessel's primary purpose.
I sketched the concept by hand, then transferred it to a digital drawing using Rhinoceros and KeyShot with Twinmotion.
The design and versatility of the spaces are tailored to the client’s needs, whether they are fishing or simply enjoying the boat.
Two people were involved in the project: Alessandro Bacci served as the project manager, and Agnes Guiu as the interior designer. They both contributed their ideas to bring the concept to life.
It is essential for carrying out the project; although the manufacturing process is traditional, the use of new tools and technology greatly facilitates its construction.
Market research was conducted to carefully analyze what is currently available in that length and category. Fluid dynamics studies and tests on how the hull performs in adverse weather conditions were then carried out to inform its design.
Create a groundbreaking design without compromising the boat's primary function.
After seeing the final result and realizing what we had achieved, I thought it would be a good idea to share this new concept with the design community.
A fresh perspective on things—on design in boats that may have previously lacked it or were all quite similar. You can always do something different.
Grand Interview about Pescare 55 Sport Fishing Yacht
We wanted to focus primarily on a conceptual product rooted in the marine world; this object had to conceptually adhere to the idea we had from the very beginning and had to align with our hypothesis about what constitutes good performance and how it is achieved without sacrificing features or capabilities. A form that is so basic yet generates so much movement is one of the main qualities of this object. While other concepts played a role in the boat’s design—such as fine Italian design and the fluidity of its forms—it was the idea of the harpoon that gave rise to and sustained the yacht.
There were two fundamental requirements when designing the vessel: comfort and functionality. Based on these two concepts, we began researching existing examples and generating new hypotheses about what a luxury fishing yacht should and should not be. We started with concise questions to obtain clear answers and begin the design process. We never lost sight of the boat’s primary function, so once that was established, it was somewhat easier to focus on luxury and comfort.
We firmly believe that by creating new products with stronger materials, we contribute in some way to the final product’s greater durability. In addition to our strong belief in contemporary design, these materials can often be recycled and even modified. Even when it comes to resins and plastics, using them conscientiously and creating a product that stands the test of time is also a way to help mitigate and reduce environmental damage. Advances in science and technology are accelerating. The use of new materials—such as synthetic woods, for example, to replace natural teak—helps raise awareness of how finite material resources are and that other possibilities and alternatives exist. New technologies enable the development of new forms and new equipment without losing sight of mechanical efficiency.
Our boat is an option for those seeking to enjoy an activity like fishing without sacrificing luxury or comfort; offering the market an option of this caliber is essential for exploring new possibilities and understanding that it is possible to create a product that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The multifunctional spaces allow us to cater to a slightly broader market; those unfamiliar with fishing can opt for a version with a stern sundeck and modified interior furnishings. Having a product that can be customized in design was something we had in mind from the very beginning, and it enabled us to come up with such an innovative concept. We must not lose sight of our goals, and our objectives must be clear when designing and developing a boat so that it is not merely a floating structure.
We sought to create a novel and innovative product that would break the mold of convention to some extent; the search for a new concept allowed us to create something different. The preliminary market analysis we conducted laid the groundwork and made it clear to us once again what we wanted to achieve from the very beginning. Novelty was at the top of the pyramid, and based on that, we began designing, analyzing concepts, and evaluating the competition—which is why we also created a product that stands out.
The CFD data was our raw material, not our limit. The simulation dictated the ideal geometry for reducing drag, but pure mathematics can result in a rough ride. Therefore, we adjusted the steps and the deep V, sacrificing a fraction of theoretical speed to smooth out the impacts and deflect spray from the deck. We turned algorithms into comfort. The success of the Pescare 55 lies in making the engineering invisible: the user doesn’t read graphs; they simply feel the adrenaline of high performance and the serenity of absolute mastery over the sea.
The Pescare 55 defines Estudio Mariani’s premise: fusing extreme naval engineering with uncompromising luxury. As a conceptual project, it allowed us to push the boundaries free from production constraints. Moving forward, our focus will be on leading this niche of high-performance crossovers. I am confident that the industry will embrace this vision, ceasing to treat sport fishing and comfort as opposites. The recognition we’ve received in Italy demonstrates that the sector craves boldness: designs that deeply excite without sacrificing hydrodynamic efficiency...
The main challenge was to eliminate the long-standing dichotomy between a purely utilitarian fishing cabin and a luxurious social area. Our approach at Estudio Mariani was to integrate both worlds without compromising aesthetics. To achieve this seamless transition, we used Rhinoceros 8 to resolve the mechanism’s kinematics. When retracted, the seats form a continuous surface with the stern, appearing as a natural structural element of the yacht that completely conceals the hardware. Since true luxury demands intuitive operation, we designed the system to deploy in a single motion, using concealed pneumatic assistance that makes the transformation quick and silent. Of course, safety was never sacrificed for aesthetics: the mechanism was designed in compliance with strict ISO and IRAM standards, transferring dynamic loads from waves and wind directly to the hull reinforcements. Thus, the engineering becomes invisible so that the user experiences only pure versatility and comfort.
At Estudio Mariani, we conceived the Pescare 55 as a holistic object, avoiding the common mistake of designing an aggressive exterior with a disconnected interior. To achieve this dialogue, we transferred the dynamic tension of the superstructure directly into the cabin, replacing the traditional curves of nautical furnishings with taut lines and faceted surfaces. The great challenge was ensuring that this bold design language did not sacrifice comfort. We resolved this through material selection: we applied ultra-luxurious finishes, contrasting the technological coolness of carbon fiber and machined metals with the warmth of matte woods and advanced upholstery to soften the tactile experience. The design choice that best captures this spirit is the spatial integration of the helm station with the main salon, whose aesthetic draws direct inspiration from *hypercars*. As a result, the interior exudes the same adrenaline as the exterior, enveloping the user in an immersive atmosphere of high performance and absolute sophistication.
