About Riverside 01 Facade Project

Its base is the representation of the movement of the waters of the river, when they meet the waters of the sea! Rhythm and lightness, following the blow of the good winds! The body of the building receives three hundred and sixty degrees of differentiated treatment, that is, in its four facades, according to the solar positioning of each one, through mobile and fixed louvers, vegetation and suitable coatings. On the Rooftop, its green slabs serve as a connection between river, sea and sky.

Production Technology
On its facade, the basement in hollow ACM retrofit, with organic volumetry, gives movement. The ACM has excellent leveling, good thermoacoustic resistance, easy maintenance, quick installation, lightness, allows curvature, impact resistance and rigidity, it is also present in mobile and fixed brises along the body of the building, whose main coating is slatted concrete. , providing high durability and thermal comfort - as it is a cold material, it helps to relieve heat. The suspended gardens on the slabs also contribute to alleviate the thermal impacts in the apartments.
Design Challenge
Its initial facade was classic, our office was commissioned to develop a modern and timeless facade, according to our time and space.
It was then that we decided to apply a differentiated retrofit to the basement, bringing modernity and lightness to the project, as well as brises and green slabs that spread along the facade.
Project Duration
The project will start in January 2023 in Itapema, SC, BR and will be finished in February 2026.
Operation Flow
The building receives three hundred and sixty degrees of differentiated treatment, that is, in its four facades, according to the solar positioning of each one, through mobile and fixed louvers, vegetation and suitable coatings.
Research
Through many studies, field trips to cities like Milan, Curitiba and São Paulo, looking for references in the great names of architecture, to start an intense creative process that would lead us to this result.
Inspiration
It is not the right angle that attracts me, nor the straight, hard, inflexible line created by man. What attracts me is the free and sensual curve, the curve I find in the mountains of my country, in the sinuous course of its rivers, in the waves of the sea, in the body of the favorite woman. The entire universe is made of curves, Einstein's curved universe.

Design Interview about Riverside 01 Facade Project

The idea was to create a façade that spoke to the city and the nature of the place, that made this transition, something flexible and sustainable, that did not generate so much waste, a cleaner architecture, in every sense.

My main focus was to contribute positively to the city's urban landscape and to generate more comfort for the building's residents.

I hope to be able to contribute more and more to the development of facades that make cities more interesting and customers more satisfied.

One year.

I, together with the client, decided to bring a more innovative and sophisticated concept to the city of Itapema, a more current language, with lighter and more sustainable materials, a more organic design, different from what was being built here, the client gave me complete freedom.

In architecture it doesn't work like that, each project is unique.

On the trips I take around the world, I see a lot of new things, traveling inspires me a lot, when I return, I like to put into practice everything I've seen and learned.

Sure, many buildings around the world. I love the architects Arthur Casas and Isay Winfeld.

Construction Companies.

That. design differentiates by receiving special and differentiated treatment on its four facades.

Riverside 01, because its by a river.

Pencil and paper.

The design respects the curves of the river.

With My team.

Technology enters the materials and solutions used, such as ACM and also the green slabs.

We carried out field trips, to Milan, Sao Paulo and Curitiba, to analyze buildings and facades that most attracted us.

We had challenges regarding the architectural project, which came from another office, we had to readjust it so that the facade would be more interesting.

It was an old dream of mine, both to design a project of this size and to gain international recognition.

I greatly improved my project development and compatibility, as well as my creativity and research techniques.

No, thank you very much.
