About Roborock App Mobile Application
Roborock App is a mobile application designed for the control of home cleaning robots. The application includes a SmartPlan feature that senses the household environment and matches a whole-house cleaning solution to it. A video function allows real-time viewing and control. Support for 3D scanning generates map views of the home, and a map color boost setting assists users with color vision deficiency. Light and dark modes are offered. The clear and simple interface helps users manage cleaning tasks with little effort.

Positioned within the broader trajectory of smart home technology interfaces, this work demonstrates how thoughtful visual design can transform complex technological operations into intuitive, even pleasurable, daily interactions. The composition achieves notable success through its restrained chromatic vocabulary—the cool seafoam greens and crystalline whites evoke associations of cleanliness and freshness directly aligned with the application's domestic maintenance purpose, while the strategic deployment of saturated cobalt blue for primary actions creates clear visual pathways that guide user attention without overwhelming the senses. The central visualization of the robotic device itself represents a masterful balance between technical illustration and iconic simplification, rendered with sufficient dimensional modeling to communicate the physical object's premium materiality while maintaining the graphic clarity essential for rapid cognitive processing on handheld screens. The underlying perspective grid suggests both the technological sophistication of spatial mapping algorithms and creates a subtle sense of depth that elevates the interface beyond flat graphical representation. - Conduct thorough analysis through user research, competitive analysis, and collected data to prioritize features, develop user journey maps, and build user personas. Subsequently, the information architecture was carefully designed to systematically organize and classify content, ensure an intuitive structure for user navigation, make user operations simple and efficient, and establish a visual design language suitable for the brand, creating the app design.
- Design Challenge
- First, it supports 3D scanning, which works with Apple's AR function to generate unique Matrix maps, creating an AR effect for the WashVac robot. Second, it provides multiple product-based themes and for users to choose from, along with an additional map color boost feature in the settings for users with color vision deficiency to use the app more easily. Third, it comes with the Search for the Pet and Cruise features for real-time monitoring, ensuring household safety.

- The project begins in January 2023, will be completed in January 2024, and will be on display in February 2024

- Based on a "human-centered" concept, the app's design focuses on both functionality and aesthetics. Featuring a concise, scientific layout and a clear, intuitive user interface, the app clearly conveys information to users, providing a convenient and seamless user experience.This app enhanced customer experience by focusing on key aspects: personalization, user control & freedom, building trust, and interaction. It included tailoring content based on user behavior, offering seamless management of services and devices, establishing trust through security and reliable support.

- Roborock App features a SmartPlan feature that automatically matches a whole-house cleaning solution to the household environment sensed. This is particularly user-friendly for the elderly and disabled, as they can conveniently and independently control robots to efficiently complete cleaning through simple voice commands.
