About Rose Flower Earrings
Rose Flower is a pair of earrings inspired by flowers and by dew in nature. Each earring is made from 18k yellow gold and shaped as a flower with colored fire enamel. A total of 112 round diamonds with a combined weight of 2.2 carats surround the flowers like drops of dew. Two natural sapphires of 4.18 carats complete the pair. Metal casting, fire enamel and hand made stone settings are used in the production. Each earring measures 57 millimeters in height and 32 millimeters in width. The enamel color gives the jewelry a recognizable character.

The designer appears to draw upon the rich heritage of enamel work, a technique demanding exceptional material knowledge and technical precision, wherein powdered glass fuses with metal substrate through controlled firing to achieve the luminous chromatic depths visible in these pendants' verdant leaves and warm-toned blossoms. The shield-shaped silhouette, softened at its vertices and traced by continuous diamond borders, suggests influences from heraldic traditions while the internal botanical arrangement evokes the garden windows and floral fantasies characteristic of fin-de-siècle decorative sensibilities. Particularly accomplished is the chromatic strategy that positions warm terracotta-rose petals against cool viridian foliage, generating visual vibration through complementary opposition while the golden metal framework and yellow pistil centers provide harmonizing warmth that unifies the palette. The openwork construction demonstrates sophisticated structural engineering, each enamel element suspended within the gold framework to allow light passage through negative spaces, creating visual lightness despite the substantial material presence. The techniques used in the creation of this work :
Metal casting , Fire enamel and Hand made stone settings. - Design Challenge
- One of the challenges I faced was putting enamel onto the gold, because the enamel is so breakable and should be treated with care. My second challenge was to position the stone near the enamel in a way that would not damage the enamel.
- Project Duration
- The design and production of this project began in 2021 in Dubai and it took a month.
- Inspiration
- By designing I tried to illustrate nature as a little framework. I selected the flowers as part of nature and I considered the diamonds around the flowers as dew in nature surrounding the flowers.
The brilliance of the dew on the flower adds to the beauty of the flower as a gem that has taken the color of the flowers and it falls.
