About Tears In Heart Crystal Jewelry Design
Tears in Heart is a jewelry collection composed of a pendant, earrings and a bracelet. The set is made of aquamarine, platinum and diamonds. The main stone measures 2.2 centimeters in diameter, and the necklace is 48 centimeters long. Wave-like textures form many small surfaces that let light enter the round aquamarine. A central curve set with diamonds recalls a rising wave and spreads light in several directions. The surface pattern is inspired by star trails. Traditional methods such as wax modeling, cutting and polishing are used.
Yujie Liang's Tears In Heart Crystal Jewelry Design participates within contemporary luxury jewelry design traditions that increasingly embrace narrative symbolism and emotional expressiveness beyond purely decorative function, positioning precious adornment as vessels for memory, emotion, and personal significance. The spherical pendant demonstrates sophisticated metalworking technique in its openwork cage construction, where multiple sinuous bands wrap organically around the pale crystalline core, the flowing ribbons of white metal creating dynamic movement while maintaining structural integrity, each band enriched with pavé-set stones that trace light-catching paths across the three-dimensional form, the overall effect suggesting both protective enclosure and generous revelation of the luminous heart within. This construction methodology arguably references historical jewelry traditions from Renaissance gimmel rings with their interlocking symbolic bands to Victorian locket traditions that similarly enclosed precious contents within decorative armature, yet the contemporary execution speaks to current design sensibilities favoring organic asymmetry over rigid geometry, suggesting natural growth patterns or flowing water rather than mechanical precision. The translucent pale blue crystal occupying the pendant's core invites multiple resonant readings, the color association with tears and water reinforced by the sphere's liquid-like containment, while the crystal's permanence and clarity transform ephemeral emotion into lasting material form, perhaps suggesting how grief, joy, or love becomes crystallized through memory and time, the precious made tangible and wearable. The secondary necklace featuring graduated star stations introduces celestial symbolism, the four-pointed or multi-pointed stellar forms traditionally associated with guidance, aspiration, hope, and divine presence across numerous cultural traditions, their distribution along the delicate chain creating rhythm and progression, perhaps suggesting a journey or pathway through darkness guided by light. The compositional pairing of these two distinct yet harmonious pieces suggests complementary symbolic roles, the enclosed spherical pendant reading as internal, emotional, protective, and contained, while the open linear star necklace extends outward, aspirational, connected to larger cosmic order, together creating symbolic balance between inner emotional life and outer orientation toward hope or transcendence. The deliberate presentation upon handcrafted ceramic rather than anonymous commercial display introduces additional layers of meaning, the choice of artisan-made vessel suggesting values of authenticity, imperfection as beauty, human touch, and mindful presentation, the irregular organic form of the dish contrasting with and thereby emphasizing the refined precision of the metalwork while establishing aesthetic kinship through shared commitment to craft excellence. The chromatic restriction to cool blues, whites, and neutrals reinforces the overall symbolic territory of clarity, purity, tranquility, and emotional transparency, the specific pale icy blue suggesting winter light, frozen water, crystallized tears, or the luminous quality of early morning sky, color temperatures that evoke contemplation, memory, and tender emotion rather than passion or exuberance. The soft atmospheric lighting and gentle gradient background create environmental context suggesting transitional moments, dawn or dusk, times traditionally associated with reflection, prayer, meditation, and emotional awareness, the overall visual atmosphere inviting the viewer into contemplative engagement rather than purely aesthetic appreciation. These jewelry pieces seem to function not merely as decorative objects but as material metaphors for emotional experience, the spherical pendant perhaps representing how we hold and carry precious feelings, protecting them while allowing their inner light to remain visible, the surrounding metalwork both cage and crown, containment and celebration, while the star necklace suggests orientation beyond immediate emotion toward larger patterns of meaning, hope positioned along life's journey. For those encountering this work, one might consider how precious objects become repositories of personal narrative, how materials transform emotion into form, and how the choice to wear such symbolically resonant pieces becomes itself an act of remembrance, hope, and tender self-expression.

- Unique Properties
- In an era dominated by silicon and algorithms, “The Primal Echo” serves as a spiritual bridge between our ancient biological origins and a virtual future. This collection — comprising a pendant, earrings, and a bracelet — is crafted from aquamarine, platinum, and diamonds. It acts as a profound reminder that the essence of life originated in the deep ocean, not the digital void. - Production Technology
- This piece integrates traditional jewelry-making techniques such as wax modeling, polishing, and cutting, while preserving the pure stone-bead style characteristic of natural-crystal jewelry.
- Design Challenge
- Breaking away from the traditional use of round Aquamarines—which are typically seen in beaded bracelets—presented a significant design challenge. I wanted to preserve the gemstone's natural roundness and softness while magnifying its inner brilliance. Inspired by structural light-play in architecture, I crafted wave-like textures to create multiple facets for light entry. A central, diamond-encrusted curve representing a surging wave serves as the visual anchor, diffusing light in all directions and fully realizing the radiant potential of the center stone, also to travel and invest the star-worship from ancient times inLebanon 2026.1, this journey also brought me great mental pressure when to visit Baalbak-temple ,the Roman Sun temple built before the 3rd century AD, on way back to cityI saw a lot of after war-sites traces holding back my tears, I was deeply moved in vibe of regret.
- Project Duration
- The product draft patterned came around 2022.1.1,formed and refined at 1.1.2026 when I was having a business travel in Lebanon with my mentor, finished at 20.2.2026 back home.

- Research
- This work was inspired occasionally from a conversation with a wise man traveled through history's, this 74-year-old gentleman carries the wisdom of someone who has bridged the gap between East and West. From his early days on experiencing wars as frequent daily life but learn to create inner power to purify and stabilized his life, he worked very hard in Wall Street to his investment ventures in Europe, but still got stuck in conflicts of different cultures ,but finally, he spoke to me of the harmony between Islamic and Christian faiths or even other cultures,-teaching me that beyond any form of beliefs , there exists a universal beauty of the 'Natural Heart'—a truth that has deeply resonated with my own spirit, this is the most fundemental language that may connect each other and heal everything.
- Inspiration
- My journey spans a decade of diverse experiences, from nine years of study and work in Australia and New Zealand to high-stakes national security service in conflict zones across Iran, Lebanon, and Pakistan. Witnessing the stark realities of war firsthand instilled in me a profound sense of compassion and a visceral understanding of life’s fragility. These experiences have shaped me into a “spiritual tool” for empathy.
