About Trigon Cabinet Parts Hardware

Trigon Cabinet Parts is a hardware series designed for cabinets. The series includes glass shelf brackets, hinge covers, handles, push to open latches and closet rod brackets. Geometric facets and sharp lines give the parts a light and three dimensional look. Cold rolled steel, zinc alloy and ABS plastic are used, and electroplating or spray coating provides a matte finish. Two colors are offered, one for light cabinets and one for dark cabinets. The shared design language improves compatibility and makes installation simpler.

Trigon Cabinet Parts Hardware represents a thoughtful exploration of the often-overlooked material culture residing within furniture construction, where functional necessity meets aesthetic refinement in components traditionally concealed from view yet deserving recognition for their engineering sophistication and material integrity. This collection of twelve cabinet hardware elements demonstrates the design team's commitment to elevating utilitarian objects through precise geometric articulation, surface finish variation, and ergonomic consideration that extends quality standards beyond visible surfaces into the mechanical infrastructure of contemporary furniture systems. The compositional presentation employs documentary clarity characteristic of museum collection photography or technical illustration traditions, yet transcends mere catalog function through balanced asymmetrical arrangement that creates visual dialogue among components varying in scale from substantial concealed hinge assemblies to delicate connector fittings, each element occupying deliberate spatial coordinates that facilitate comparative viewing while maintaining overall compositional harmony. Material selection demonstrates sophisticated understanding of metal finishing techniques, where gunmetal gray surfaces receive varied treatments ranging from mirror-polished passages capturing ambient light with liquid smoothness to brushed satin finishes suggesting tactile engagement and matte powder-coated areas providing subtle tonal contrast within the cool metallic spectrum. The elongated drawer pulls exhibit particularly refined formal development, their gently curved profiles suggesting substantial hand-feel comfort while geometric precision in their trapezoidal cross-sections reveals attention to visual weight distribution and shadow behavior when installed in three-dimensional cabinet contexts. The central concealed hinge mechanism commands attention through its technical complexity, multiple adjustment points and pivot axes rendered legible through careful lighting that traces functional geometries while the knurled cylindrical element suggests tool-free adjustment accessibility reflecting contemporary installation methodologies. Smaller components including mounting plates and connector elements display geometric clarity and edge refinement suggesting precision manufacturing processes, while chamfered corners and faceted surfaces catch light at calculated angles creating visual interest within compact forms. This hardware collection seems to engage broader conversations within contemporary design regarding the dignity of functional components, the aesthetic potential residing in well-executed utilitarian objects, and the cumulative contribution of concealed elements to overall furniture quality and longevity, extending design consideration throughout the complete product rather than restricting refinement to visible surfaces alone. The restrained monochromatic presentation invites viewers to contemplate materiality, proportion, surface treatment, and geometric relationship as primary aesthetic values, celebrating the quiet excellence achieved when engineering requirements and aesthetic sensibility inform one another throughout the development process. How might increased awareness of concealed component quality influence broader appreciation for furniture craft and manufacturing integrity, and what role does material refinement in hidden elements play in the overall experience and longevity of designed objects within daily domestic environments?

Production Technology
To meet the performance requirements of different parts, materials like cold rolled steel, zinc alloy, and ABS plastic are available.
The application of electroplating or spray coating for a matte finish not only enhances aesthetic appeal but also improves wear and corrosion resistance. Various manufacturing processes like die casting, injection molding, and stamping ensure precision and consistent quality. Strict color control further guarantees visual consistency across the entire series.
Design Challenge
The challenge was balancing aesthetic appeal and practicality. This series takes the triangle, a form with versatile geometric charm and a stable functional structure, as the core element to seamlessly fuse functionality and aesthetics. It offers two color options to accommodate diverse user preferences and cabinet styles. The semi matte light metallic tone is ideal for light colored cabinets, while the semi matte black titanium gold, upscale and mysterious, suits dark colored cabinets.
Project Duration
The project started in Guangzhou in September 2023, and completed in Milan in July 2024. The product was officially launched in January 2025.
Operation Flow
The series offers two door opening options. The push to open latches allow users to release cabinet doors with a gentle press, eliminating the need for handles to present a clean look. The handles featuring a gap offer an easy grip, whereby users can open or close doors easily.
The glass shelf brackets with subtly rounded corners avoid accidental injuries associated with sharp corners. The push to open latches boast an integrated shell that prevents the base from detachment to safeguard users.
Research
Traditional custom cabinets mix hardware parts from different brands or of different styles, leading to an inconsistent design language and compromising on aesthetic appeal. The wide variety of hardware parts must be purchased separately from multiple suppliers, increasing purchase costs and management complexity. The poor compatibility between parts results in inefficient installation. To address that, this series replaces haphazard combinations with a consistent, systematic approach.
Inspiration
Rationalist architecture of the 20th century emphasizes a perfect blend of functionality with form, and pursues a clean, rational aesthetic expression. Inspired by that, this series utilizes geometric facets and sharp lines, which breaks the stereotype of hardware being monotonous and bulky by giving a stronger 3D effect as well as a sense of lightness and dynamism, able to serve as an artistic decoration that spices up cabinets.
