About Van Gogh's Gladioli Necklace
Van Gogh's Gladioli is a handmade necklace inspired by a flower painting by Vincent van Gogh. The necklace is made of 18 karat gold and set with natural gemstones, including light citrine, ruby and morganite. The variety of the flowers is shown through the different hues and colors of the stones. Delicate carvings in the gold represent the midrib and the veins of the leaves. The contours follow the asymmetry and the balance found in nature. The piece is lightweight and comfortable to wear.

Gold 18K; Light Citrine 19,90CT; Ruby 3,90CT; Morganite 10,65CT. - Design Challenge
- This is a jewel full of details: lines that scratch the metal, imitating the grooves of the leaves. There are galleries all over the necklace to hide the links that give IT a trim. But the big challenges were controlling the colors (a rare combination of salmon pink, intense red and light yellow) and balancing such an asymmetrical design, where harmony and beauty are perceived even without symmetry.
- Project Duration
- The project started in september 2019 in Brasilia, Brazil, and finished in January 2020 in Brasilia, Brazil.

Gorgeous - Research
- After extensive research on Van Gogh's paintings (there are almost 2000 works), the painting was chosen that would be the inspiration for the design. Then research was carried out on the painted tree (understanding of what the painter saw to be inspired). Realized the ideal design of the piece and choice of the ideal materials for execution.
