Uphando: The design of the work comes from a photograph of a sea slug eating a silver coin jellyfish by photographer Gary Bell Minden. From the silhouette and structure of the garment and the presentation of light, I combine hand-stitched drill chains, garment structure inlaid LED strips and fiber-optic cloth. The three-dimensional knot made of optical fiber cloth and the hanging optical fiber make the clothing shape present a sensual spirit.
Inkuthazo: Inspired by some glowing marine phenomena and marine life. Such as fluorescent beaches and sea slugs. The light visually presents a burst of spring and a feeling of flexibility in the garment.
