טראַנספֿאָרמירבאַרע היים איז אַ וווינונג אינערלעכע דיזיין פֿאַר אַ דירה פֿון 73 קוואַדראַט מעטער אין האָנג קאָנג. די היים איז געפּלאַנט געוואָרן פֿאַר אַ משפּחה פֿון פיר מענטשן מיט צוויי קליינע קינדער. גליטשנדיקע צעטיילערס דערמעגלעכן די צוויי שלאָפֿצימערן צו ווערן פֿאַראייניקט אין איין אָפֿענעם שפּיל-פּלאַץ. ווען די גליטשטירן זענען פֿאַרמאַכט, ווערט יעדער שלאָפֿצימער אַ באַזונדער צימער מיט אַ שרייבטיש און אַ גאַרדעראָב. דער פּלאַן איז איבערגעאָרדנט געוואָרן צו אַרבעטן אַרום די סטרוקטורעלע ווענט און זײַלן וואָס באַגרענעצן פּלענער אין הויכע בנינים. די פֿלעקסאַבעלע איינטיילונג איז באַאַבסיכטיקט צו וואַקסן צוזאַמען מיט דער משפּחה.

Unique Properties: Some might think that having children share a room is just an undesirable option due to a lack of living space. However, it is not the case for this young family of four living in a 781 square feet apartment perched atop the hustle and bustle of Tsim Sha Tsui. It’s a warm, flexible and transformable home that will grow with the family.
Dimensions & Packaging: Floor area of the apartment is 73 square meter.

Production Technology: Sliding Doors
Design Challenge: It is a typical high rise building in Hong Kong with the structural walls & columns restricting the spatial arrangements. The design has to work with limited alternations to partitions to achieve the maximum spatial effects as required.
Research: For Hong Kong being a city with high density of population, apartments are mainly arranged in high-rise buildings, resulted with internal layout restricted by the structural walls or columns of the architecture. With other regulations regarding room size against bay window size, a lot of the units are configured with small rooms which is out of proportion and not spatially efficient. The team is trying to rearrange the spaces to fit the needs of the client and also generate rooms with better efficiency and quality.
Inspiration: The Homeowners wanted to have a flexible place to accommodate the changing spatial needs of our little ones now and in the future. This brief inspired the team to create a transformable space where the little boy and the infant can share laughter together for the time being and enjoy private moments in their own kingdoms when they grow older.
Project Duration: The project started in July 2021 in Hong Kong and finished in December 2021.With
Operation Flow: When the sliding partitions are opened up, a great playground is there for them to have fun and share moments. As time goes by the siblings may wish for quiet and individual space for homework or zoom classes, as well as some me time like every one of us do. Simply close the sliding doors, the bedrooms which each completed with desks and wardrobes can be separated immediately.
