关于 Safety Pin 戒指

Safety Pin(安全别针)是一枚造型如同功能完整的安全别针的戒指。该戒指可跨戴于佩戴者的三根手指之上,亦可用作胸针、吊坠或别针。Safety Pin采用18K黄金打造,镶嵌总重2.09克拉的多彩宝石,整体重量为14.40克。设计首先制作三维模型,随后打印蜡模并浇铸成金,铸件经手工修整与抛光处理。宝石逐一镶嵌固定后,各部件再行组接。该设计力求保持轻盈、易于佩戴且充满趣味。

生产技术: Developed in the 3D Matrix program for the jewellery industry based on the Rhinoceros program, a 3D model was created. After the safety pin were grown by prototyping on a 3D printer from wax, the cast was made in gold. They were processed by hand and polished with jewellery threads, for the perfect shine of the gems and showing their cut, clarity and colour. After that, precious stones were fixed into the base product and only then the parts were connected into the final figurines.
设计挑战: The number one challenge is to combine the design of the piece with its technical side while maintaining it lightweight, wearable and ergonomic.
研究: Traditionally, jewellers have created static pieces for thousands of years. By adding movement to the jewellery I allow our pieces to come alive, inspired by the beauty of magic and nature. As a jeweller, my concept is to find ways to introduce kinetic effects and hidden secrets that are a unique joy to own.
灵感: Invoking the magical wonderment of childhood, the Games collection fuses the fun with the fine. With their emphasis on actual play and irreverent references each piece has the dual purpose of encouraging daydreaming and lighthearted games
项目周期: The project started in January 2021 in London and finished in January 2022 in London. The overall process of production, improvements and quality check took about one year. These ring have never been exhibited before.
操作流程: A Multifunctional Safety Pin ring can be transformed in to brooch, pendant or pin. Also, it could be stylised and worn on many occasions with additional charms.
