I was studying Diploma of Interior Design in PJ College of Art & Design in Malaysia. I think the only reason of being a designer is I really enjoy to see/appreciate a nice art or design piece since I was young. And with the passion that I have all along, I was naturally turn to become a designer and really love to be a designer so much.
To me, design is a solution to ease people's life or enhance the life/space in terms of functionality, practicality and aesthetically. No right or wrong to any design, and I do appreciate every design in the world.
Design field is evolving from traditional to boundless stage, especially with the advance of the technology nowadays and more creative of youngster today. The future of design will be more interesting and going towards boundless direction.
My design inspiration mostly comes from humanity behaviour and nature. I always love to observe the surrounding things to feed my creativity. My sources of inspirations are the things happen in my surrounding and can be from anything.
I'm a Malaysian and currently living and working in Singapore. I think multi-cultural country as Malaysia do affects my designs all the time. The material application may be more daring and richer when designing which I think it is helpful in some of the cases. I think the cons side of living in my country when designing is the non-completed or limited choices of the technology of manufacturing that we having right now.
Turning my thought into a remarkable design or artwork is amazing and it motivates me always. I love being creative is the main reason for me to become a designer.
A great designer will take many aspects into consideration depends on what they are designing and then turn it into a great and soul- touching solution to the respective target audience/market. A good designer may not design something as complete as it is possible to be. Both type of designers are respectful.
