Interview with Yongcai Huang

Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
In the past decade (2003 - 2013) and design-related work, but also happens to be the decade of the industry outside the wait and see, inspired me to design thinking and precipitation. I want to find the diversity of life, while looking for diversity of arguments and evidence.
Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
http://www.i-rma.hkRma Republican urban design was founded by ray wong Huang yongcai in 2013. based on the architecture, space, interior and product design industries, we are determined to use philosophical thinking system and international design language to gather lonely people's thinking and jointly create the ultimate design works and experience. we are the silent jailbreaker in the traditional design industry, the pirate ship of the new sensory ocean, breaking down the old concepts and unchanging routines, and bringing new design shock.
Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?
When I do a project, the first thing I think about is not from the designer's point of view, from the customer, the owner, business strategy to think about where the project's special point. Then combined with the market demand, make a certain judgment. Think again about how design works. At the same time will go back to the project experience, observe the guest experience of the project.
When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?
In fact, each project is a product, designed to do well, executed in response to the market. If the product can form a good hot topic, so as to bring good benefits to the owner, this proves to be a good product.
From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
I think that design should be evolutionary, and evolution needs to inject some forward-looking ideas into past perceptions. I will bring them more open ideas and explore the possibilities that design brings to life.
How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?
I think the interior design will be more diverse, return to humanistic care, more artistic and emotional expression. Under the information age people are flooded by the torrent of information, but people become more and more lonely. The interior design responds to these social problems.
Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?

How do you work with companies?
I think the interior design will be more diverse, return to humanistic care, more artistic and emotional expression.
Can you talk a little about your design process?
I think the fun of design is to discover the many possibilities of life, the different sounds bring to the thinking. So you will experience life in different places and think about the possibilities of life.
Could you please share some pearls of wisdom for young designers? What are your suggestions to young, up and coming designers?
Knowledge needs precipitation, need to have a certain knowledge precipitation, to reach the height.
From your perspective, what would you say are some positives and negatives of being a designer?

Could you please tell us about your experience as a designer, artist, architect or creator?

How did you become a designer?
First of all, I do not think I am a designer; secondly, for the teacher table that reputation seems to carry too much. I tried and wanted to be myself a design practitioner. I think the fun of the design is to find a variety of possibilities of life, different voices to bring their own thinking. The challenge of design is to find evidence and evidence of independent thinking.
What are your priorities, technique and style when designing?
When I do a project, the first thing I think about is not from the designer's point of view, from the customer, the owner, business strategy to think about where the project's special point. Which emotions do you feel when designing?
Humanities, philosophy, economy these are the things I am more interested in.These can help me to observe the phenomenon of society, phenomenon is the entrance of social problems, design is my thinking about these issues after the various understanding and exploration.
What particular aspects of your background shaped you as a designer?
Since I was a child, I like painting, and then influenced by my brother when I was in college, let me contact with the design industry, further into the design industry.

How do you keep up with latest design trends? To what extent do design trends matter?
We have been looking for a way to break the inertia of the state, relatively safe and conservative ideas, our attitude will be more radical, which also makes us a lot of fun. I think the design should be evolutionary, and evolution requires some forward-looking ideas into the past, making it a new choice. Bold imagination is that I am confused attitude, but the confusion is short, will be in constant practice to be resolved.

What is your biggest design work?
As a designer to think about this design, is my favorite. Because it can solve rational function problems in an emotional way. The most special project is song' s club, which has been in Guangzhou for 4 years.
Would you tell us a bit about your lifestyle and culture?
I like Guangzhou because it is an inclusive city that can accommodate many different ideas. Humanities, philosophy, economics, these are all things I'm more interested in.
