My love for art and artistic occupation has always been with me. I have started painting from the early ages and I have had thirteen group exhibitions in my resume when I got 17. Later, I studied Industrial design and thereafter I started jewelry design, then my passion grow enough for jewelry that I chose it as my professional career and this decision has made moments of my life filled with joy, creativity and art till now.

It is a start-up company dealing with design and manufacture of fine art and high jewelries, currently. Also, we provide bespoke jewelry design services for private brands overseas.

According to me, design is a way of expressing your taste based on feedbacks you receive from your surroundings while trying to create equilibrium of aesthetic and function.

In the domain of jewelry, I do like to design distinct, unique and at the same time highly popular pieces. Also, as a hobby and practice and due to my painting background, I like to design jewelries that can be distinctly attributed to a specific art movement and style.

A design which is meticulously tailored to meet its target groups’ real needs, which is based on a multifaceted and rich research study. In this way, it will eventually gain customers satisfaction and market success either at the time or in the future. In my field of expertise, it is important to research and analyze the current trends, customers appeal, to think attentively about the quality of the beauty, status and identity that the design is going to add to its owner. Also, if one is inspiring from a culture, (which is a common practice in my country) how precisely and correctly this culture is been promoted, whether it is going to be a heritage for the future or enhance the understanding of their current owners are of high importance. From this point of view, a good design may not entail success from time to time, no need to mention the role of publicity here, but overall, I think being loyal to good design is a must for all designers.

I would say a design is bad if it degrades individual’s lifestyle, taste, vision and understanding by transferring wrong messages.

A designer creates objects either to enhance function, aesthetic or both. On a higher level a designer may create and realize a need. So, on either case the most important thing to consider is well-understanding of the target group and their actual needs to provide the appropriate solution.

I draw inspiration from variety of sources. From the Nature as the first source to socializing more with people to understand their heart needs. Day after day I train myself to pay more attention to details of whatever I encounter in my life and to be precise on what people demand for in real. Meditation, music, architecture and great works of Art are all inspiring for me as well. And last but foremost, as a Persian, my country’s Art and culture is a profound source of inspiration for me.

It’s complex. There is no specific style to label my designs and it is different from one design to another. I always try to be loyal to the best proportion and compositions I can achieve. I think the theme all my designs so far have in common is a sense of femininity, fluidity, dignity and eternity which according to me reflects my passion to introduce a modern woman who is strong, smart, independent and literally real.

Whether I am commissioned for a design with pre-defined specifications or inspired by a concept, I do lots of sketching by hand or using 2d and 3d software either for ideation or developing the concept. Once a design is developed enough and all aesthetical and technical aspects of it are solved at the first phase, I prepare my model for fabrication. Sometimes it is needed to make a prototype to test the model before fabrication, and most of times virtual prototypes are enough. On the final piece any necessary finishes are applied and then I am done.

Knowing the basics of design, being very precise about the details, having in-depth knowledge of area of design they are active in, and finally being very diligent and perceptive.

I am very lucky to marry a man who is a very creative and talented designer, and he might not collaborate directly with me through my designs, but always makes highly important and effective points helping me to enhance my work.

I suppose the practice of painting from childhood was so influential in preparing me to become a jewelry designer. Beside studying art and design, this practical experience has helped me to develop a keen eye for details, choice of color and appealing aesthetic.

Knowing the Art and Design principles and element, being very precise about the details, having in-depth knowledge of area of design they are active in, and finally being very diligent and perceptive.

Trend matters highly in jewelry industry. Therefore I try to consider it while designing a new piece or a collection but in a controlled way. In studying newest trends I usually refer to influential jewelry industry magazines and their analysis, international fashion and jewelry shows and works of great designers and brands.

I think in jewelry design, aesthetic is of high importance either in the first impression a design causes or deeper lasting emotions it provokes. I mainly describe a product “well-designed” when besides satisfying the design requirements and principles, it makes the users feel connected.
