I am originally a software engineer, and started Memo Box project while I was in Cambridge University, wanting to solve a problem of my mum not remembering whether she had taken her meds or not. In order to actualize Memo Box and its app, Memo Health, I taught myself with industrial and mobile app design. I have been awarded with reddot award and iF Design Award with my design for Memo Box hardware. Winning A’ Design Award with the accompanying Memo Health App, is really a pleasant surprise for us, and great recognition for our efforts in software design.
Tinylogics is revolutionising the way the world addresses the growing problem of medication non-adherence,
which causes up to 50 % of treatment failures. By harnessing the potential of the Internet of Things and smart algorithm, we pioneer the development of smart pillboxes and its seamless integration with mobile app to empower
users to overcome their adherence challenges and reduce overall healthcare expenses.
We are founded in the University City of Cambridge in 2014, and have been receiving support from Cambridge Enterprise, Kickstarter backer community, and industry top manufacturers.
A great product is one that optimizes functionality, design and cost-efficiency, and I design with this goal in mind, so that I could build a product that I am willing to and happy to use, and a product that can benefit as many people as possible.
For example, with my hardware design of Memo Box Smart Pillbox, I have used shaft to house all the electronic components to create an overall form of Memo Notebook, which combines reliable functionality with beautiful design, that does not always remind people around a user that he/she is on medication.

A good designer impresses, but a great designer serves. Sometimes, a great designer may even give way to achieve the overall optimization of a product in terms of functionality and cost-efficiency. So the differential qualities are humility, and understanding of people, I’d say.
